Turkey Talk -(the food not the country)

As people try to deal with the aftermath of the attacks in France and what is still to come, people are still gearing up for their holidays, many not really knowing how to cook for the meals. Well, help is still available. Some of the changes are now there are some men answering those phones.
1-800-Butterball, butterball.com, live chat, email and social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter. On Thanksgiving day alone, the talk line answered more than 10,000 calls.

Deep fry that bird!
- Not in the house. Not on your wooden porch. Standing across the street from your burned-down house isn’t the way to get your picture in your local paper.

Or...make sure it's just completely thawed.
Thanksgiving may never be the same! The Waring Pro® Professional Turkey Fryer lets you deep fry a turkey – up to 18 pounds – in just over an hour! The secret is a rotisserie function that alternates direction, turning the turkey to cook evenly, keeping all the natural juices inside. And it does it all using 1/3 less oil than conventional fryers. Remove the rotisserie to deep fry huge portions of all your favorites, like chicken wings, French fries and onion rings. And if that’s not enough, you can fill the 2.5-gallon stainless steel reservoir with water instead of oil and you’ve got a steamer big enough for a clambake! Features an 1800-watt heating element, a stainless steel vented lid to keep things crispy, plus a 120-minute timer and Power and Ready indicator lights to give you perfect results...

For one day people should be able to just sit down and be thankful for the blessings that they have. I prefer my turkey baked, if there are any cooks who end up with turkey that is not succulent (juicy), Reynolds makes these cooking bags, you can put anything in them (just get the right size) and cook it in that, it will stay juicy. I also think stuffing should be cooked separately.
The origins of our holiday were not as peaceful as people want to believe, and we did pillage and kill people to obtain their land, but we are here now, we should try to be peaceful and thankful - But by all means, put up any hints for good holiday food.
I love that Boston Market sweet potato soufflé!

I'll never forget the Thanksgiving where my father-in-law fried a turkey for the first time out on the back patio.
Turkey was still half frozen. He set the turkey in the pot of oil and...well, found out he moves pretty fast for an older guy... 😛
