Trump is an accessory to murder here. He is a weak leader returning the favor for the Saudis' bailing him out with his previous business failures.
Khashoggi was probably getting ready to spill the beans on Saudi involvement in 9-11, or some other equally huge thing. I doubt his assassination was just because he was critical of the regime.
