Trump is nothing but an empty wind bag. He and his like talk out of both ends of their mouthes and are the main problem and the main cause for illegal immigration. Trump was just outed yesterday for using illegal immigrants on a current hotel project in Washington DC.

Want to end illegal immigration or at least slow it down big time then we need to come down on the Donald Trumps in our country. The hypocrites who talk a lot of smack but don't follow that smack talk themselves. People like him talk of mass deportation and huge walls yet they use the illegals and enjoy the cheap fruits of their labor and the cheap goods and services that illegals make possible.

IMO the illegals aren't the problem. I can't blame anyone who are trying to make their lives and their families lives better. I blame hypocrite Americans and they are the ones who need to be cracked down on.

Want to stop or severely lower illegal immigration here is how you do it. Pass two simple laws and ENFORCE them.

Law#1 - Large fines for anyone who employ illegal immigrants for any kind of work including personal lawn mowing. LARGE FINES!!!!! The larger the job and the more illegals working there the larger the fine.

Law#2 - Large fines to anyone found to be renting living space to illegal aliens. There are too many slumlords overcrowding their rental units with illegal aliens and charging them all separately making triple the amount of money they would make renting the property legally to a single family. LARGE FINES!!!!! The more illegals caught living in someone's rental unit the larger the fine.

Pass those two laws and enforce them and when there is no work which is why they come here and there is no place to live they will stop coming and most others will leave. Then those who refuse to leave will be easier to find.

Of course this will never happen because there are too many hypocrites in this country who talk about deportation and complain about illegals but who love their cheaper restaurant dinners and cheap lawn mowings and a cheaper bill from the contractor and affordable fresh fruits and vegetables.

Take away the source of what they come here for and they will stop coming. If there is work available and a cheap place to stay they will continue to come here in droves. Simple as that.

You see, what we get is a temporary (intentional) inability to understand the English language when it suits us. For instance, Trump said Mexico is not sending it's best, meaning he must know that a "best" exists or he wouldn't have said so. Correct?

Now how could he have said there is a "best" and at the same time say they're "all" rapists, criminals, ect? It's impossible. Probably because he DIDN'T SAY "all" Mexicans are anything whatsoever. Never said it.

Simple really. He said they are keeping the best in Mexico and sending the worst to the U.S.

Then how could ALL Mexicans be criminals and rapists, which is what people are running around claiming that's what Trump said? Doesn't compute. Probably because he never said it.

Republican Party Leaders Struggle to Rein In Donald Trump

WASHINGTON — The Republican National Committee chairman, Reince Priebus, faced with growing pressure from inside the party to quiet Donald J. Trump, called the provocative developer-turned-presidential candidate on Wednesday and asked him to speak in more measured tones.

Days of round-the-clock cable news coverage of Mr. Trump’s incendiary claims about Mexican rapists and criminals coming across the border forced Mr. Priebus to show alarmed Republicans that he was taking action.

“The chairman had a private conversation with Mr. Trump, as he does with all of our candidates pursuing the nomination,” said Sean Spicer, a senior aide at the Republican National Committee, who said Mr. Priebus was returning Mr. Trump’s call from last week. “It spanned several areas, including his recent comments about illegal immigration. The call lasted no longer than 20 minutes.”

Military analysts: Donald Trump's plan to bomb Iraq's oil fields not a good one

Washington (CNN) Donald Trump wants to "bomb the hell" out of Iraq's oil fields in order to strike at ISIS.

"If I win, I would attack those oil sites that are controlled and owned -- they are controlled by ISIS," Trump said. "I wouldn't send many troops because you won't need 'em by the time I'm done."

That's some tough rhetoric for a man competing in a GOP presidential field where each contender is trying to look tougher on terrorism than the next.

Not really, according to two former U.S. military officers and CNN military analysts.

That's because bombing Iraq's oil fields would be a serious blow to Iraq and efforts to recover once ISIS is expelled from the country.

"You're destroying the infrastructure of Iraq, you're not really doing much to hurt ISIS," retired Lt. Col. Rick Francona said. "At some future point those oil fields will have to help regenerate Iraq."

The United States did strike oil fields in Kuwait during Operation Desert Storm in the 1990s, which hurt Kuwait for years after the war.

While Trump suggested that he would then send in Exxon or another oil company to quickly rebuild the infrastructure once the conflict is over, Francona and Lt. Gen. Mark Hertling, another CNN military analyst, said rebuilding infrastructure is easier said than done -- especially when other surrounding infrastructure has been damaged in the process.

"We've made some huge mistakes in terms of just bombing things we think can just bring a nation to its knees," Hertling said. "It's not the people you're going against and yet those are the ones you're going against the most when you're talking about indiscriminate carpet-bombing."

Trump also said that "there is no Iraq" because of longstanding Sunni vs. Shia divides in the country that have come to the fore amid ISIS' advance.

Hertling said that's just not true and that "there most definitely is an Iraq" despite political and ethnic divisions.

Hertling points out that he's remained apolitical throughout his military career but said Trump's comments are "just troubling."

"You have to understand the issues a little bit better than just bombing things," Hertling said. "This is very complex and there are hundreds of thousands of Iraqis who believe they do have a country."

Both Francona and Hertling said there are many better ways to hurt ISIS than striking oil fields in Iraq -- few of which ISIS actually controls.

A large part of ISIS's revenue has come from oil sales, but the terrorist group is mostly pumping oil out of refineries in Syria, not Iraq.

And even in Syria, the U.S. military and coalition partners have showed restraint in not bombing oil fields in Syria, though the U.S. did strike mobile refineries in ISIS hands there -- not as crippling in the long-term than a blanket bombing of oil fields.

While the Iraqi government is seriously reliant on the United States and other countries in its fight against ISIS and as it strives to keep its country together, Iraq's top leaders would do more than just object to U.S. bombing of oil fields in its country -- a central part of the country's economy and infrastructure.

Here's the thing. He comes off as a richer version of Maine's Governor, Paul LePage (you may have noticed me posting about him in another thread). So much about the two of them seems exactly the same, in so many ways it is creepy. And Paul LePage managed to get himself elected governor not once but TWICE. Now, LePage was helped in a big way by the fact that Maine elects with a plurality rather than a majority and independent candidates split the moderate and democrat votes in both elections (and the fact that the dems ran horrible candidates as well, IMO). He's a bully who can't control his mouth and has been scapegoating immigrants for all of Maine's problems for months, and he may end up getting impeached before the end of his term, but still he got elected. So, people who don't like Trump should not take him too lightly

That is creepy, because it might indicate a design rather than a lone nutcase. Like some kind of creed developing.

Surely you don't think it's actually that simple. In order to bring this theory to fruition, you would need a small army of government officials to routinely inspect all businesses and corporations, monitor payroll reports, stop and question Hispanic employees, among other dangerous mandates. Your idea won't happen, not because of hypocrite business owners, but because that level of government control goes well beyond it's legal boundaries. Also, I would imagine that our corrupt CEO's are working well with our corrupt politicians to turn a blind eye to our immigration problem. Cheap labor = strong economy = lots of money in pockets.

For years now, (decades, really) the GOP has missed the boat on millions of Americans of Mexican and Hispanic descent. By and large (polls and studies consistently bear this out), people in this demographic are very traditional and hold what would be termed as conservative values. Very hard-working, pro-life, very much into family, deeply religious, traditional values of heterosexual marriage and great emphasis put on two-parent families. There's a massive voting bloc there for the taking. However...

Sure. We all know that illegals, who are trying to fly under the radar, take their Mexican birth certificate and no other documentation down to register to vote. They are freely allowed to register in spite of the fact that they can't prove that they are citizens. It is a scandal that is bigger than Benghazi.

Not to mention hordes of prospective Democrat voters. Great deal. They get the votes, we get the bill.

However...

True on all of those characteristics you mention. However, a superlative job has been done painting the GOP as racists. It's taken hold. With regard to the Hispanic demographic, wanting tight border security and being anti-amnesty doesn't make someone a racist. It means they want tight border security and tend not to favor amnesty.

Cheap labor = strong economy = lots of money in pockets.

How many illegal immigrants vote?

The line of thinking is they won't be illegal forever, or even for long, but you already knew that.

That's just an excuse. This is politics. How you end up "painted" is on you. It also smacks of blaming everyone else. Thought Republicans were above all that? Party of Personal Responsibility? No?

With regard to the Hispanic demographic, wanting tight border security and being anti-amnesty doesn't make someone a racist. It means they want tight border security and tend not to favor amnesty.

The same polls and studies show that Hispanic Americans are also in favor of immigration reforms. Still can't connect.

Jeb Bush, who is by far and away the most probable GOP candidate, is fluent in Spanish and has a Mexican wife. Trump ripped Bush, saying that Bush "has to like illegals because of his Mexican wife." Trump has had a meteoric rise in the polls within his own party. Why? Everyone high on paint fumes?

And Trump doesn't know why people would think he's racist for "speaking the truth". Pathetic.

Right or wrong, Trumps running the campaign on his terms. the liberal media is hysterical that Trump will not abide by their ridiculous PC guardrails on issues like immigration and border security.

Most common sense Americans understand what he meant by his latest comments. They can see it with their own eyes such as the latest wave of undocumented minors and can conclude the border is porous, the border is NOT secure by any means and sewage is flowing into the states unchecked.

Do you think he will get elected POTUS? Do you think he should be?

Nobody is hysterical except the right wing voters that Trump is trying to appeal to. The vast majority of voters do not need his over the top remarks to know there is a problem with the borders. The vast majority of voters also know that Trump has little knowledge of anything that occurs outside of his little world.
