Frankly, I concern myself mainly with the American vote.

How very warm and fuzzy. If you don't want to discuss how important voting blocs are, fine.

I don't have much use for identity politics. I think it's destructive.

Warm and fuzzy? I'm not sure about that. We're separated into too many groups.

The system is designed for gridlock.

No actually he implied the majority of the illegal Mexican immigrants were rapists and drug dealers Alloak and that he "some' may be good people not the other way around as you re claiming.

Far too many undesirables ARE getting into the country. Far too many and you know that.

Why are we allowing this to happen? Cracking down on border entry and enforcing laws might insult Mexican voters? Can't make a stand or do what's right and risk losing those votes! That's what's important.

Donald Trump is cracking down on border entry and enforcing laws? When was he elected?

The amount of denial that The Reagan Rule allows one to have is truly and admirably staggering.

Thought the thread was about Trump. First you want to talk about his remarks, then when someone does, you refuse to talk about them. Therefore, leads people to all kinds of conclusions about what you don't say.

What happened to the whining about wanting better discussions? Guess that wasn't sincere.

Wow, the smugness is in fine form today. As you very well know, the rule is to never speak ill of a fellow Republican, ever. And, I give you all due credit, you stick to it better than most others I've ever seen, heard or read.

I had no idea. Not even RINO's like John McCain?

Too late.

Be as obtuse as you want, Pat. You really don't want to actually discuss anything, you'd rather just troll the low-info idiot liberals, which is fine. My apologies for trying.

Obviously the latest narrative making the rounds is troll or trolling. Snarky came and went, as have others. Let me ask you this, what difference you think one more going to make?

Just curious though, what's your particular definition of trolling?

And apparently our definitions of "discuss" are quite different.

That was not the discussion point Alloak so you are deflecting again. You were nitpicking about what Trump actually said and then you misquoted him implying he said only some Mexicans coming into the U.S. are bad people which is incorrect. He actually implied most Mexican illegal immigrants are criminals of some sort based on some vague conversation he claims to have had with a border guard.

I have no issue if you want to nitpick but at least try to be accurate and admit when you make a mistake that you love to call other out for.

And I do agree with you that there is an illegal immigration problem. What I don't agree with is a buffoon like Trump generalizing about Mexicans for the sake of grabbing a headline. Even people in the GOP are disgusted with his media whoring statements.

And people wonder why we are thought of by others in the World as the "Ugly Americans"

I love the comments complaining about what I will/won't discuss, how I post, the deflecting, ect while at the same time my friends on the Left constantly deflect the commentary at me personally. Oh, but that's different.......Classic! LOL

I've heard it proposed before that Liberals detest being disagreed with. I always rejected that claim, but I must admit I'm starting to ponder the possibility. There are limited plausible explanations.

Are you saying that is just a liberal trait? I'd say O'Reilly, Limbaugh, Boener, McConnell, Geraldo, Steve King, Ann Coulter, Reince Priebus, Donald Trump, Jeb Bush... need I go on? All detest being disagreed with.

Well then it must be a conservative trait then. I stand corrected. And anybody that does disagree with them, in their eyes, must have something wrong with them or just be a bad person in general.

I have said that in the past, but my opinion has evolved. The setup I would devise is one branch of government (Executive) when a Democrat is in office. And a return to three co-equal branches when a Republican is in office. How's that?

Regarding the citizenry, we are separated and divided into too many groups. I think it's destructive.

Well if looks like a duck and quacks like a duck it must be a duck Alloak. If you did not constantly either ignore people, deflect and change the subject or generalize about liberals when you are proven wrong maybe people would stop focusing on you as an individual and instead try to debate your response.

If it was one particular person doing this with you then you might have a point but when it is most of the liberal's you debate with maybe you need to look in the mirror to see who is creating the issue.

First of all, you aren't my friend.

Second of all, I am only referring to any attempts at conversation between you and I, which, once again, has been proven to be a useless gesture.

Lastly, you make just as many personal comments as anyone else, but somehow that's different. I'll never figure out why you choose to converse with people you think so little of, but that is certainly not limited to one person in this day and age.

Why wouldn't you just infer that people don't like to be disagreed with? For all your talk about too much divisions you sure do like dividing folks.

What possible good do you expect to come out of those statements? Do they move the debate forward? You have called for positive debate but you really do as much as anyone to swim in the political sewer.
