Although Lindsey and Trump butted heads in 2016 I think he would make a great VP.

What makes a great Vice President?

What makes a great Vice President?

Apparently having a brown nose.

Ability to ignore criminal activity of the president.

The ability to angerly demand documents, then refusing to read those same documents when presented to him.

The ability to determine the innocence of the president before evidence is even presented, as well as determining the guilt of somebody in the other party without the existence of any evidence whatsoever.

I don’t think Pence has done so bad as to be dropped from the ticket - he seems like a pretty typical VP to me - stays in the background, says the right things etc....Biden was similar

Former president Obama hasn’t endorsed his former VP’s candidacy yet - seems surprising - could he be waiting on what Hillary is going to do - possibly as part of a Biden-Clinton ticket

Too early still for all this idle speculation/conjecture I suppose

Biden asked Obama not to endorse him...if you can believe that one...

Biden specifically said it in a TV interview, that he asked Obama not to endorse. Obama doesn't need to take requests from Joe, instead he is appropriately staying out of the race to let things shake out, as he should. Why should he put his thumb on the scale right now? He shouldn't. But the fact that Joe said he asked Obama not to endorse him and that is the reason Obama hasn't is pretty funny. But that is Joe, he says some funny things. Now everybody funny, you funny too.

Interesting in that President Obama is not the least bit shy when it comes to expressing his feeling about President Trump.....

Joe Biden drops Obama's name every chance he's had during the debates.....

Why wouldn't he want Obama's support and why wouldn't Obama endorse him...

I smell bad fish....

Yeah, I don't know any more than anyone else really, but I would suspect that Biden isn't Obama's first choice, hence the no endorsement...but really former President Obama is correctly staying out of the way, for now, as the process unfolds.

Biden sure loves him some Obama though, works well to name drop for him. Did you know it was the Obama-Biden administration? If not, Joe will be more than happy to tell you every single chance he gets. To a point...he can, it's part of his resume, but he definitely overdoes it, and then tells us he told Obama not to endorse him.

Declining the endorsement of a former president
No matter what there’s no sense to it - mayb Joe wants to prove he can do it on his own merits or whatever - nothing wrong w/that I suppose
Does the endorsement embargo go for Biden’s whole campaign? Or maybe next year as the field thins out, Joe would give his OK to be endorsed

Like to keep up w/all this
Find that I understand little of it tho

Politics & common sense clash real easy

It’s no different from sports
They’re in the preseason now
Then next Feb & the start of the regular season (primaries)
Then the playoffs (the July DNC)
Leading to the finals (presidential election) & the November championship

Trump-Lindsey might work but firing Pence would indicate dissension within the ranks & a valid reason to vote for new leadership
If you’re the incumbent you don’t wanna send that message 😮 Smile
Wknd/holiday greetings

IMHO if Pence isn't on the ticket, Nikki Haley is more likely than Lindsey Graham.

In his 1989 inaugural address Pres. Geo. HW Bush said he wanted to see “a kinder gentler America”

In these strident times of accusation, invective & inquisition, Dems should pick up on that

...offer a ticket that would espouse moving the country away from its current hate free-for-all climate

...& toward the more civil respectful ideal Pres Bush envisioned - the nation is ready for it & voters would embrace it in droves IMO

Biden/Clinton would be the best ticket to send that message - a smiling grandfatherly/motherly image that voters would find a breath of fresh air

especially w/the presence/auxiliary strength & counsel of two ex-presidents always nearby - that would be be a Key campaign factor that could go a long way toward ousting Pres. Trump

Has any former President ever endorsed a candidate before Iowa or New Hampshire? Before the convention, even?

If Trump is impeached and cannot run, I like Lindsey Graham.

He could put Sean Hannity in as Communications Director, let him do the Press Releases. WHY NOT?

Lindsey Graham could be a worse President than Trump I think. Atleast if Trump is suspect and reluctant for more war, Graham seeks more use of the military for whatever objective the neocon wing wants.

You mean press conferences? Well any press conferences would be better than what this administration has currently. I will say, I think a TV personality as the press secretary is a great idea though, be it a R or a D administration. I mean, say Lawrence O'Donnell or Sean Hannity. That could be a pretty good idea.

I don't think so.

The point is that Joe Biden asked the President not to endorse him. As if Obama was going to anyway and if not for Joe asking him not to he would have. Yeah, ok Joe.

Lindsey Graham - Are we talking about the zebra who once was a never Trumper and now cleans Trump's golf balls and hands Trump the 9 iron and putter when called upon? Playing on Trump's courses has a price to pay for selflessness, indebtedness, and loyalty to Trump over country. It's a lot cheaper that way than paying for a membership. Whoring one's self out is an expectation to becoming part of Donald's inner circle, and few have succeeded as well as Lindsey.

Press Secretary - Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the latest Press Secretary for Trump, Stephanie Grisham has ever done any press conferences or daily briefings????? Maybe I'm wrong.

She's outstanding in her job having occasional appearances on FOX. Other than that I don't think think she does much to earn her paycheck or speak to the American people other than by a snarky tweet here or there.

Hopefully if we get a new prez, daily briefings will resume along with any sense of normalcy from an administration.

"White House press secretary says daily briefings aren't coming back any time soon"

The Democrats could clinch the ticket and the Presidency. Someone said this to me recently I thought it was ludicrous but now realize she may be on to something.

Hillary for President
Michelle Obama for VP.

All the Obama supporters will love that, because all they have to do is wait till Hillary does 2 terms and then Michelle moves into the Presidency, the first black woman President, historic. Michelle is smart, she is a lawyer, she would not embarass the country, she knows how to speak and conduct herself. Hillary is qualified to be a President. It would unite a lot of people. She would gain the experience needed working under Hillary.

Not so far fetched is it?

I don’t think Pence has done so bad as to be dropped from the ticket -

Pence has been identified as being in meetings (some w/Rudy) that are the basis for the impeachment as well as campaign finance activities that some from the Trump administration are serving time for. He's not clean if that's what Trump's looking for.

Given Pence and Pompeo are very connected to the Koch Brothers political machine, I suspect neither is going anywhere if it has anything to say about it.

And don't think for a minute Trump isn't afraid of a backlash from the one remaining brother should he defy him...
