There is proper protocol that should be followed when someone of John McCain's stature and years of service in the government for the people passes on. Since Trump does not like McCain, he is sending Pence to the activities in Washington, so you cannot say that Trump is a hypocrite.
Even Obama wrote a well thought out letter to Trump as all the outgoing Presidents do to their new successors coming into the role of being a new President. Sometimes you have to do what is right for humanity and not let political beliefs sway your actions.

Trump fails to give respect to a veteran and war hero, yet in the near future Trump will once again go on and one about NFL players disrespecting veterans for taking a knee during the national anthem. And his followers will eagerly take the bait. Pathetic!
