This is why Trump is "succeeding"...and to a degree Bernie as well.

Mark Dice. So many of these videos; contesting the knowledge people think they possess about history.....
These are filmed on the west coast, San Diego to maybe Santa Barbara. Obviously edited, not for content but by answer.....just a snapshot, but the gist is here.
These people vote. This is why we are where we are politically, the dumbing down continues....

I think Bernie voters tend to be much better educated than the folks who flock to rump.

Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump are both have rallies in Youngstown tomorrow. I am going to both, one at 8am and one at 6pm. Will be an interesting contrast and comparison.
I believe I've voting for Bernie Tuesday. Some fundamental problems for me to overcome, but the only other 2 I was interested in of the current field are Trump and Kasich, which I have problems with them too...just different issues.
I can report back after the events.

Please do report back. That should be really interesting.
Regarding the original post, I think voter ignorance may be a big factor in Trump's success, but I think the number one factor is irrational fear among voters. Trump plays to those who fear Mexicans, Muslims, Jews, Blacks, Politicians, Women, or any other demographic group other than whites males. He makes it acceptable to hate and he let's his followers know that it is OK to act on that hate. Trump validates their phobias and leaves them feeling like a leader has finally come along who sees the same problems that they do and he'll fix them. And America will be great again.

Anybody that supports Trump is angry, scared, and stupid.

Fair enough, but the original point was/is.....that is a hell of a lot of people

No, but there are a lot of angry, scared, and stupid people out there. Who do you think appeals to them more than Trump?

Keep in mind that 50% of the people are average or below average intelligence.

Grading on a curve...the 1773 answer by the one person would be correct!
But I wonder, how many people did actually give correct answers, like you said edited out to show the ones that didn't. So I wonder what percentage of people he questioned that day didn't know?

Barack Obama?

No need to look any deeper. Your basic intelligence appraisal and/or armchair psychoanalysis is looking deep enough.

Anybody that supports Trump is angry, scared, and stupid.
Not necessarily all three, but if not A and/or B then typically C applies. Of course many don't know it, and most wouldn't admit it even if they did.
