Anyone here familiar with "The Overton Window"? Very creepy concept, has to do with the constantly shifting limits to expression imposed by the collective will. I see it in action here all the time. Folks back off on saying what they think because it is outside The Overton Window.

We also see it along the lines of people trying to impose limits of 21st century morals and accepted behavior on past events.

If there is an old book sale going on close to you, get a book called "The Broken Window" by Jeffery Deaver.

Look at what we think about privacy today, that we would never allow in the past.

Will look for it thx. And yes, it is irksome when the past is viewed out of context. Nothing kills a discussion of history for me faster than that.

See if you can find the book "based on characters by Tom Clancy" called "Locked ON"

Tell me that isn't the state of politics this year.
