(CNN)Donald Trump's political union with Mike Pence, who was announced Friday as his running mate, arrived with a new campaign logo that is drawing titters from cheeky tweeters.

The campaign shared the graphic in an email soon after making public Trump's choice, which CNN reported on Thursday, in a series of social media posts, emails and text messages. In the updated insignia, the "T" in Trump passes through the "P" in Pence as part of a flag illustration. Their names are stacked below on top of Trump's slogan, "Make America Great Again."

Former Michigan Rep. John Dingell, a Democrat with a famously wry Twitter account, offered one of the first of many puzzled reviews. "What is the T doing to that P?" he asked.

Trump is doing to Pence the same thing he'll do to America. I find the logo fitting.

What's really telling about this little situation is that looks like no one in the Trump inner circle is willing to say to the boss that something might be a bad idea. Pulling the logo 24 hours after you release it makes you look twice as worse as the logo did to begin with. Trump has adeptly used twitter do save hundreds of millions in campaign ads and campaign organization dollars, but he still doesn't fully grasp the meme world of the internet. The internet is filled with thousands, if not millions of smarta$$es ready to bag on anything and everything.

"Yes" men put you in a bubble, and being in bubbles in campaigns is bad. Ask Mitt Romney.

He has the best logos. People are telling him this all the time. He designs logos and they are the best. They are magnificent. These are the type of logos that will make Ameica great again. Crooked Hillary will never have logos like this. She doesn't have the imagination to make America great again. she could never come up with a logo this good. This logo is great. It is the best.

I don't really like the logo, but some have said they did not know what to do with the initials T.P. because some might make an analogy that tp has always stood for something else.

If I was designing it, I would have just had the names Trump-Pence and some catchy phrase like It's our time now, or Restoring American Values, Making America Great Again.

TP is less objectionable if unused.

Well someone did ask him point blank if Pence would follow his lead as the campaign goes on, and he said 'Pence will not call Hillary names'. It is not his style. Trump has a more this is what I think and I'll say it style. Real politicians never answer any questions, they just dance around the issue and that's why people do not like real politicians. Trump's sometimes abrasiveness is like naked emotion, people appreciate honesty once in awhile.

Trump supporters don't give two sh!ts about honesty, which makes sense because neither does the candidate.

It would be a waste of time to care about honesty in a political candidate. None of them are honest.

It truly is interchangeable.

Pretty amazing he would even bring that up.

Who is "he"? Gina brought it up when she said people appreciate Trump's honesty. As far as I know no one here, except Gina, thinks that honesty is a hallmark trait of either candidate.

It's also conditional.

Maybe he meant me since I am the one that said "Trump supporters don't give two sh!ts about honesty, which makes sense because neither does the candidate" (which no one has denied)....but then again probably not since I am not a Hillary supporter. My distaste for Trump is not about right or left (and let's face it folks, neither is Trump) or about supporting someone else, it is about Trump and Trump only. What he says, what he does, and what he says he will do as POTUS...those are all fair game and he brings the criticism upon himself with a constant torrent of lies and undignified (I'm being kind) comments. And based on what I've seen and heard from candidate Trump, I firmly believe he would be a yuge disaster as POTUS and would hurt the country in ways we can't even fathom yet, and that he is the worst (worst of the worst) candidate to secure a D or R nomination of my adult lifetime. I would vote Pinocchio (before be became a boy) over Trump. And I will vote libertarian (or write someone else in) over Hillary Clinton. I wish we had better choices and as an American I am truly embarrassed by what is transpiring during this election cycle. Mad
