Scott Walker On Evolution

I don't guess this should surprise anyone. C'mon Scott, have the balls to tell us what your ideas really are.

Love it. He handled it perfectly.
"The GOP has no official position" should be the stock answer on any and all questions of this type. Keep the conversation steered to involve the most pressing of issues only.
Bravo!

Wow.
So, Scott Walker? The theory is that the world is round? Do you have any problem accepting that theory?
Er, ah... I'd rather not discuss that. This isn't the time. But, er, ah, when I am President, I will dismantle the United States Navy so our ships, the big ones, the air craft carriers and such as that... stop falling off the side of the Earth. That will be one of my first initiatives.
See... because I'm really smart and stuff. That's why I left Marquette early... I was already smart. Didn't need to finish college. Just wanted to be President... and such as that.

Love it. He handled it perfectly.

I'd only expect you to respond in this way. Walker has no guts for not answering a basic question. What is it that he is hiding? Is he afraid his beliefs will turn of the fringe base or turn off a much broader population that he needs to appeal to should he decide to run for POTUS?
Alloak, for the record, do you deny evolution?

Love it. He handled it perfectly.

He denies intelligence. If he doesn't have something, it doesn't exist. 😛

First of all, a politician dodging a question is headline worthy? Really?
But Walker is right....100%. That's a question politicians shouldn't be involved with one way or another. If they were really interested they would go ask a professor or a scientist.
In the coming months every effort will be made to drag GOP candidates into this crap. Don't go. They want red meat. Don't give it to them. Don't let the conversation be steered away from the pressing issues. Walker didn't let it and others should take note.

Well, I guess we can probably figure where Walker stands on issues that don't matter like climate change, the environment, a woman's right to choose, gay marriage, etc.
I'll ask again since you didn't answer the first time, alloak. Where do you stand on evolution? Add to that, where do you stand on the above additional issues? Are you going to play like a good little GOP politician and say, "alloak has no official position on ____________."

The GOP has no official position on long settled science? You think a person who dismisses settled science deserves to be elected President.
You truly do miss the point on this one alloak. To the rest of the world Scott Walker, right now, today, looks like a buffoon.
The President of the United States should have a basic knowledge of Science. Walker obviously doesn't. Next.
Do you think Dr. Ben Carson would have refused to answer the question? What is the harm in answering a basic question?

Love it. He handled it perfectly.

That will be the Democrat approach used to attack candidate Walker, that he didn't complete college. This will be tied to his cuts in education funding and he will be accused of believing that education is not important.
Bank on it.

You just made a great case for him not believing education is important. You think at this juncture of the evolution of society we cut education funding?
What kind of jobs do you see an uneducated future generation performing?

You think a person who dismisses settled science deserves to be elected President.
Dismissive of not, MUCH more so than a person who thinks businesses and corporations don't create jobs, and we both know who that is.
Not even close.

You just made a great case for him not believing education is important.
See, you're already proving me right.
BTW I don't have a pilots license, but think air travel is very important. You sure see some crazy leaps and warped logic on this here site.

Really? BTW, this thread is about Walker. Aren't you the guy who whines when things go off topic?

This is th entire post You just made a great case for him not believing education is important. You think at this juncture of the evolution of society we cut education funding?

Based on the entire post, your reply was a non sequiter.

Not at all, even though it's puzzling why so many veer into the subject of alloak41. Happens an awful lot.
And just when I thought you guys wanted me to answer more of your questions. That's all I was doing and you're still not happy.

You make it about yourself with your stupid answers, topic swerves when it suits you, your complaints when people change the subject, your snarky remarks, and general troll activity. Actually, I believe you cannot help yourself as you don't seem to be the sharpest knife in the drawer. Actually, as far as knives in the drawer, you are a spork.

I specifically asked you your personal viewpoint on several issues in this thread. You've answered none. It takes a lot of gall for you to imply in your last 2 sentences that you've answered questions....priceless but predictable.

I'm fine. People like you are a dime a dozen. A mild irritant, like a mosquito. People like you are easily dismissed from the mind.

Two of you're questions should be asked directly of Scott Walker. Not trying to be a wise guy, but only Scott would know the answer to those.
On the third question, I don't have a firm stand on evolution either way. It seems plausible on one hand, on the other it's not supported by the fossil record. Put me down as undecided. Could go either way IMO.
Thank you for your patience, dear brother.

He was asking you the questions Alloak. Scott Walker isn't here to answer. But you are taking part in this debate and your views on climate change, the environment, a woman's right to choose and gay marriage are relevant to the whipping post. That's what we do. This could just be an agree to disagree situation.
For example, your idea that the fossil record does not support the theory of evolution is ludicrous. Did you mistype that sentence?
If not, where did you learn this aberration of science?

You think a person who dismisses settled science deserves to be elected President.

Can't wait to hear you repeat that over and over again for the next 10 years...........

Billy has a good point. You seem like one of the more logical conservatives Alloak so I hope you are trolling here regarding evolution.

Walker also alluded to the expectation back in the United States that he would run for president, noting the media had described him as "bland" as a prospective candidate. "I'd rather be bland than stupid, or ignorant, or moronic," he said.
Epic fail. He comes off as all 4.

It is funny attacking Scott Walker. Let me see he won 3 recent elections in a democratic state with all the money in the world from unions across the country against him. He is someone who is took on government unions and won 3 times. He is someone outside the academic elite and considering the complete failure of this administration which is dominated by the academic elite, is refreshing. So he is successful with a college degree. Wow that is real negative. I guess it threatens people like Elizabeth Warren who earned 350k a year for teaching one class. And the same people who say he is dodging questions support Hillary, she has been real straightforward. By the way Obama until this day has not released his college transcripts. why is that? This is so typical of the left, attack anyone who you perceive as a threat. But that's right the democrats are for the little people, they are looking out for you.

You make it about yourself with your stupid answers, topic swerves when it suits you, your complaints when people change the subject, your snarky remarks, and general troll activity. Actually from your posting history it seems obvious you are the troll here. Your account was created for sole purpose of trolling and spamming.
I quickly reviewed some of your recent posts, you apparently don't have anything intelligent to say either. Please stop posting, you are fueling alloak's fire by making liberals look like idiots. Just stop.
Spork.
And the only thing you seem to do is make comments about me. So, who is the troll here? If you need help with that one, just ask.

I am a liberal so have no reason to support Walker but I tend to agree that his views on evolution really have no bearing on his ability to govern. I mean lets be honest you really could rule out anyone who claims to be Christian and believes in the Bible with the resurrection of Christ, parting of the red sea, and the whole burning bush/ 10 commandments stories.
I don't care what a candidates personal religious beliefs are as long as they keep them separate from their government duties. Separation of church and state should be the concern not whether someone believes in the story of creation. IMHO of course

Agree 100%. I think that's why Walker and the others mentioned in the story are wise not to be led down these pathways. Nothing good can come of it, but damage can result. One phrase, one word out of place or context and it becomes worldwide news.
Look what happened when Stephanopolis asked Romney one stupid and baseless question about Romney's plans to "outlaw" birth control? Even though there was virtually no plan to do so, the whole "War on Women" was born.
That's why I believe it's better for the GOP to steer the conversation back towards economics, reform, trade, jobs and what not. That's where the votes are going to be, not with "settled science" topics or moral issues. Maybe they're finally learning.

Not sure we agree on the same concept here Alloak as access to birth control to me seems like a valid question as it impacts peoples lives. Walker's belief or nonbelief in evolution has zero impact on any anyone's lives so is not a campaign issue.
I don't have time to research what Romney was asked but if he is allowing his religious beliefs to impact his policy decision making related to access to birth control then I see this as a problem.
Same with same sex marriages. If a potential candidate is against same sex marriage due to religious beliefs I think this is a valid questions to ask and I would want to know that candidates reasoning for his/her opposition. If it is based on religious beliefs then I would have an issue with voting for that candidate as they are allowing there religious beliefs to influence their judgment in matters of state. There is no longer the separation of state and religion in my mind.
But in all honesty it is a fine line which is hard to define in all cases.

The Evolution/Creationism Question
Ah, the common gotch ya question.
If Gov. Walker had answered yes, the liberals would have said he doesn’t believe in science
If he had answered no, the liberals would have said he doesn’t believe in God.
Seasoned politicians know to never answer that question.
In the 2008 campaign, obama didn't answer the question either. He simply went into one of his "history lesson" rants and way off topic.
On the liberal media’s “Walker’s a college dropout”
George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Harry Truman, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Mark Zukerburg never graduated from college.
Yet Gov. Walker, as a republican, won the governorship in a blue state twice and easily defeated a recall election in which the unions and democrats spent hundreds of millions dollars in a losing effort.
Of course there is Ben Carson’s wasted his youth to become a brain surgeon when he could have been a community organizer.
