It's official....Walker is in.

Was there ever any doubt he was going to run? The unions here are a shadow of what they used to be but I expect Hillary will get some fat money from them if Walker wins the nomination.

So how many declared GOP candidates are there now?

The media will say 15 or 16, but those are just the ones they care about enough to mention. There are 31 in total that have declared as candidates. Whichever number you go with, it is a mind boggling amount. Primary season will be interesting.

Scott Walker is an anti-gay bigot that thinks children need to be "protected" from interacting with adults who are gay simply because they are gay which apparently means they must be a threat...

Scott Walker: Boy Scouts ban on gay leaders ‘protected children’

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-politics/wp/2015/07/14/scott-walker-boy-scouts-ban-on-gay-leaders-protected-children/

“Scott Walker's suggestion that the Boy Scouts of America's current discriminatory policy somehow 'protects' children from gay adults is offensive, outrageous, and absolutely unacceptable," said Chad Griffin, president of the Human Rights Campaign in a statement. "His comments imply that we represent a threat to the safety and well-being of young people."

If Walker were to win he would be the first President of the United States in 60 years without a degree.

Does a degree matter?

Two of my favorite presidents Lincoln and Truman had no degrees. SOme of my least favorite were highly credentialed.

Good lord what a mess. I believe I would have a hrd time cobbling together one great candidate out of all those running at this point. Hoping someone stands out as the campaigns pick up speed.

At the time one could just study up and take the bar exam, which he did. One of his many famous quotes, "I studied with nobody."

Call you BFF, Trump. He has people that are always checking things out like this. Let us know what you learn. His people were exceptionally productive in disproving Obama's birth certificate. Flushing out his college records should be a piece of cake.

Lincoln didn't even get the equivalent of a high school degree. He had maybe two years of schooling. He was entirely self taught.

Yeah. I know. My point is that the educational system was a little different back then. Scott Walker may be totally qualified. I'll bet most of the people who vote for him don't have degrees either.

Not to mention that Lincoln was a transcendent figure in American history and stood head and shoulders above most in his generation (and I'm not talking stature, although I'm sure that didn't hurt). Hard to compare him to anyone.

The first GOP debate will be held (I believe) in Ohio. Unless the format is changed, exceptions are granted, or his polling numbers increase, Kaisich, a former member of the US HOR and current governor of Ohio may be left off of the stage.

Meh another Republican who wants to control how people run their lives. Against same sex marriage, prolife, against legal ganja. Believes the bible stories are true and talk of God in his decisions. Doesn't believe in separation of church and state.

Is a pro death penalty advocate and wants more prisons. Yeah just what we need put more people in prison.

http://www.ontheissues.org/John_Kasich.htm

Also apparently has an anger management issue and holds grudges against those who oppose and criticize him.

http://www.politico.com/story/2015/07/john-kasichs-anger-management-120345.html

No thanks............

You forgot the "G" word...gridlock. It's his favorite. I'll bet even more than "animal endangerment".

It would be interesting if a Republican wins the White House. Gridlock will evolve into obstructionism and become a bad thing.
