Entertaining? Yes.
Substantive? Absolutely not. A waste of time and money. BS questions and sound bite answers.
Welcome to 21st century politics and the reality TV wasteland.

looks like the Clinton's are not the only ones feeding at the corporate money troughs.
Old Jeb has been gorging himself on Wall Street money since leaving office.

If this Washington Post article were about Hillary the Right Wingers would be screaming for her head. Where is the outrage about this Son of a Bush using his connections to make millions and allegedly get away with blatant criminal activity???
How come the Right Wing Corporate Media isn't covering the story?
You vile Right Wing Zealots are all the same. Hypocrites! You aren't interested in morality, or saving America... all you want to do is see your team win no matter the cost. 😉

I heard Christie the other day say some great stuff. I don't know why he isn't being considered. He talked about holding true to conservative policies, but wanting to work across aisles to get other ideas and compromise. Probably just another lying politician like everyone else, but if he took this approach, I think that's what we need.

If Jeb is found guilty of criminal activity he should be prosecuted and go to jail.
However, until then we should be consistent and follow the already established Whipping Post standard of conduct. Until he's been found guilty of doing something illegal, we must conclude this is a witch hunt and manufactured "scandal." Fair is fair.

Is that sarcasm? You and Mule have tarred and feathered Hillary consistently and blindly without her ever being found guilty of any criminal wrongdoing.
Do I have to start pulling quotes from that Hillary thread?
Fair is fair? Holy crap. That's stunningly disingenuous Alloak. A new low.

You missed the point.

100% correct........and were told 28 times that nothing has been proven and she hasn't done anything illegal and therefore it's just a partisan witch hunt and just a manufactured scandal. Remember?
Shouldn't the same consideration be extended to Jeb Bush? Not that I'd be shocked if the Hillary fans suddenly reversed their previous position.

I missed when you started giving Hillary that consideration. When did that happen?
Disingenuous. Look it up.

His favorable rating by NJ residents is at about 30% - this by the same residents that elected & reelected him. Under his watch the economy has suffered. There have been 9 credit downgrades as a start in the state he governs. I'll paste a few other tidbits into the mix below from the net:
"The state's economic recovery continues to lag the nation as the state has only recovered 62% of jobs lost during the recession, while the U.S. has recovered 132%," a recent Moody's report stated.
Gov. Christie likes to champion his business credentials, but New Jersey is frequently ranked as one of the worst states in the country for doing business, according to surveys of CEOs and the Tax Foundation. Overall economic growth has been lackluster -- the state ranked 46th for growth in 2014.
Since the recession, poverty is up, the state's revenues are down, and the New Jersey's unemployment rate remains well above the national average."
That's a pretty good start as to why he's currently polling somewhere around 9th for GOP candidates. He is also despised by establishment GOP for his antics at the GOP convention when he nominated Romney last cycle.

You're putting out some pretty low wattage there alloak... The point is you right wing whining cry babies attack and then whine, whine, whine when your filthy, lying, criminal candidates are exposed and treated with a fraction of the venom spewed Hillary's way.
This is consistency. I never would have said anything about Bush using privilege and his family to get sweet heart business deals if you and Mule hadn't set the standard.
I also don't hear you whining about the "liberal media" not covering Bush's shady dealings like you moaned when Hillary witch hunts moved off the front page.

Nobody's whining. Not at all. Just mentioning that it would probably be fair and consistent if Bush was held to the same standard as Hillary has been.
**If there is no proof that he's done anything illegal it should be concluded by all that this is just a partisan witch hunt and manufactured scandal. And if it's not against the law. it's acceptable**
That's the standard that's been set here so why shouldn't it apply equally? Seems fair.
You think I care about Bush getting attacked in general? Not really.. Difference is, I won't take it personally. Still don't understand that.

Actually, you and muleboy set an entirely different standard where the burden of prove falls squarely on the shoulders of the accused. You set that standard, nobody else.

Did you read my whole e-mail Alloak? in my last sentence I acknowledged the did not do anything illegal. In fact I have not seen one post here claiming he did.
I did not see one liberal poster complain about him using his politcal power to rake in corporate favours.
It is you who is not being consistent here as you whine about the Clinton's calling in favours to make money but no comment on Jeb doing the same? If you were being consistent we would have already seen half a dozen posts from you complaining about Jeb's behaviour. Fair is fair.............
😉

If he had accepted donations from foreign nations while serving as Secretary of State and didn't disclose any of it, I probably would have by now.

To your point did she break the law? was she prosecuted for it? No, so try again..

You're still not getting it. It's not MY point. Those parameters were set by Hillary Cllinton supporters on the Hillary Clinton thread.... If there is no proof she broke any laws, suggesting any wrongdoing is a partisan witch hunt and manufactured scandal. Well, in that case the exact same sentiment should be applied to _______________.
It certainly hasn't been applied in the past. Bush and Cheney have been classified as war criminals likely 100 or more times on this board. When were they ever prosecuted? See what I'm getting at? You guys set the parameters but fail to apply them consistently.

Oh I know what you are implying but I never said Jeb broke the law in fact I stated that his taking money for speaking engagements was not illegal. Other than BB's follow up posting I have not seen one liberal accuse Jeb of any illegal activity and even that seemed to be tongue and cheek to make a point how you and Mule attacked Hillary for doing the same thing yet neither have been prosecuted for any wrong doing.
You are ranting about an argument that does not exist Alloak as liberals are not accusing Jeb of any wrong doing.
Go look in the mirror as you and Mule were attacking Hillary for taking donations allegedly linked to her offering favours in return yet when Jeb uses his connections to do the same you attack liberals as a defense.

looks like the Clinton's are not the only ones feeding at the corporate money troughs.

Key words - Since leaving office. You were expecting him to go work in a car wash? Besides, at that point he's a private citizen, free to pursue any business endeavors he pleases. And in doing so there are no conflict of interest questions. Hillary Clinton cannot say the same.

Ah, but that is not the point Alloak and you are deflecting now and changing the argument.
You ranted that liberals were not being consistent by inferring Jeb did something illegal while dismissing what Hillary did as a witch hunt which was not the case. This never came up in the discussion except from you.
All I did was point out that Jeb is using his connections established during his time in office to get lucrative corporate speaking engagements. I never inferred he did anything illegal.
If you want to compare the two politicians situations that is a totally different discussion.

Please try and stay focused and on topic. 😉

Not quite accurate. I merely pointed out the guidelines set on the Hillary Clinton thread. If there is no proof she did anything illegal, this is just a witch hunt and a manufactured scandal. I did so regardless of the fact that anyone claimed Jeb did anything illegal.
BTW, where was that sentiment when Romney was a felon who didn't pay his taxes? When was he prosecuted? What about Bush and Cheney being war criminals? When were they prosecuted?
Don't get me wrong. I'm glad the Hillary supporters put themselves out there and established that criteria. Thank you. I'll be watching very closely for adherence to it from now on.

It's official....Walker is in.

It's official....Walker is in.
Their opposition to Walker is not a surprise, but at least they were short and to the point...

If Walker were to win he would be the first President of the United States in 60 years without a degree.
Does a degree matter?

It's official....Walker is in.
Was there ever any doubt he was going to run? The unions here are a shadow of what they used to be but I expect Hillary will get some fat money from them if Walker wins the nomination.
So how many declared GOP candidates are there now?
