Looks like the smoke is clearing from "Battlefield: Whipping Post" after a few tough years of conflict between the forces of enlightenment and ignorance in the final showdown of the Idiocalpypse. An eerie silence pervades the scene, Halfbaked crocks lie scattered among the smoking ruins of abandoned threads, a heartrending tableau of desolation that claws at the heart and leaves the observer shaking his head and asking, "Why? Was it worth . . THIS?"
"Yes!" cry the inscriptions of glory, runes of fierce truths forever emblazoned on the HTW server to stand in mute testimony to the persistence, courage, and bravery of those who manned the guns until the bitter end.
The heroes have limped from the field, the dove of peace descends and builds her nest once again, upon the skeletal wreckage soon to be forgotten among the flowery tendrils of that eternal Balm of Gilead, the amnesia of Time.
Scattered reports, sporadic shots recede in the yonder, the occasional skirmish, but as the sun sets on the Whipping Post, nature curls up in repose, the timid denizens of the nocturnal world creep forth, and proclaim in joyous yet subdued squeakings, and yes the unfortunate but rare strangled squeal of demise, for even peace is imperfection: "Reason Hath Prevailed."
