That's right, while Congress debates, hems, haws and disagrees, some other people have stepped up. You can join and help fund at least part of the wall. What if we get it done regardless of if Congress says no?

😮

I'm all for this. If everyone who voted for Trump donates $360, they will have enough to build the way. At the current pace of $1.3 million per day, it will take over 50 years to raise enough to build the walI, but I say let's do this! I wonder how much the Mexicans will donate?

Surely there are hi-tek solutions that are a miniscule fraction of the cost of a wall - totally medieval approach. A wall will have to be enforced and patrolled anyway. A system of motion detectors, infrared surveillance, laser lattice, satellite, detect and respond.

Then again, we could just pour boiling oil from the castle ramparts. The new serfs of the Trump Dynasty will be happy to help.

Walls kind of went out of favor when they invented the canon. Heck, during the cold war the missle silos were only surrounded by a fence and motion detectors.

Anything less than $360 per Trump voter isn't going to do the job, so I would hope she gives at least that much.

I like the idea of sharks with lasers mounted on their heads. Even in the desert areas they would be more effective than a wall.

I think they should break out more of this type of funding, not on a go fund me page - but on your 1040. Pick and choose what and where you want your tax money to go to. If they don't get enough money to fund certain programs, then don't do them.

Please tell me this is fake news, and people are not crowdfunding for the wall. Who are these poor people? Anyone who donates should be round up, banned from procreating, and sent to live on a remote island in the South Pacific. I’ll donate for that cause.

I hear there will be a checkoff box on this year's 1040 for refunds that can be given to The Trump Charitable Foundation. I hear that organization does wonderful things for the less fortunate.

Well, considering the mentality of about 30% of our voting age citizens, (as well as some of our leadership) of our of our nation. I certainly wouldn't feel too comfortable with this...........Peace.........joe

Great Idea!!! We got one for my Uncle outside New Comiskey, paid $500 I believe, so at least $500 would be a good starting point for a wall brick?.........Peace......joe

Ah, yes, the fine print of the tax cut plan? 😉

Well, unfortunately you are right. My suggestion isn't realistic although I do wish for a way that citizens could have more direct discretion over how Congress spends money other than just voting for a representative. But yeah, trusting the population at large to get it right could be scary. I'm one of 63 million people who voted for Trump - scary! But at the end of the day we get what we deserve, our successes or failures are shared by all for good or bad, just the way it is.

Isn't it ludicrous that the self-proclaimed real estate guru is about 30 years behind in his knowledge of techniques in the construction industry? He promised his base a wall, but does it have to be bricks & mortar or a "slatted fence?" As you say, a quick visit to a 21st century security/building contractors convention would demonstrate effective efficient alternatives.

His vision no doubt includes a moat. Medieval, indeed.

For sure, I do agree, I think a lot of good common sense can be gathered from, good solid Folks, weed out the extremeists, left and right, and then genuinely try to see what genuine needs, desires and concerns can be gathered from a somewhat more reasonable and level headed common Folks, maybe I am just pipe dreamin I guess, partly due to the fact that when You ask a million People's opinion, You will get that many different view points?........Peace............joe

I saw an interview with the individual who decided to start this fundraiser....Why do I have a suspicion that these millions will end up in some off shore account untouchable by US tax officials?

I will send something, and for those who think they cannot send anything, what about sending part of your tax refund?

Great idea of sending part of a tax refund to the wall that little Donnie said hundreds of times that Mexico would pay for.

Come tax time, if I were to get a refund, I wouldn't give a dime to that. But you and goob line up to give to this "worthy cause".

Better yet, why don't you designate your tax refund to the Trump Big Mac Fund. I hear he's running a bit short of cash.

Can't they use the invisible fence technology pioneered by people who say they can keep your dogs on your own property. How long would it take for determined asylum seekers to keep trying to breach an invisible fence?

No. He ran on building the wall and stated that Mexico will pay for it on many, many occasions.

If he is as awesome as you think he is...and he is as awesome as HE thinks he is...then he needs to get the wall built on his own according to the standards he himself laid down.

Surely such a dealmaker can get this done, right?

We know he is trying, but if we do not want to wait, then we can try other methods to at least start building it. The border is 800 miles long, so if we can do anything near the most widely used illegal entry points, that would help. However, I think about the tunnels in Palestine and I think the central american asylum seekers would try to make some tunnels to go under a fence. It's a very bad problem.

"He is trying" - The only things he is trying is to 1) enrich himself on the backs of the American taxpayers in violation of conflict of interest of his position as POTUS, and 2) trying to discredit multiple investigations which are getting close to his family and him.

His wall is symbolic & a campaign chant to unite his base who were told Mexico would pay for it. In the end, it is just another of his daily lies.

Yet here we are two years into the Trump debacle, and there are those who still believe in that guy and his drivel.

Doesn't seem like he is trying very hard to get Mexico to pay for it. They said no and he quit trying. The Democrats said no to US taxpayers paying for it and he shus down the government. For once he should keep his word and get Mexico to pay for it or just forget about it.
