One hell of a Sunday
I live in the area where Peach, Crawford, and Houston counties come together. Yesterday we had eight tornadoes come through this 25 mile circle, two within viewing distance of the house.
One went through the area of Middle Ga Raceway, across the airport and Warner Robins, over I-16 into Twiggs Co., and continued across about 70 more miles. That one was north of us. The one south of us pretty much started outside of Columbus and went between Perry and Warner Robins.
Most of the storms touched down and dissipated within about 15 miles.
The storm front produced tornadoes from just south of Atlanta down almost to the Florida line.
Before it came through Ga. the storm left at least 23 dead in Alabama.
