Obama knew long before Election 2016 Day that Russia was trying to interfere, chose the political option and did nothing:

‘I feel like we sort of choked’: Obama’s no-drama approach to Russian hacking isn’t sitting well

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2017/06/23/the-russia-2016-blame-game-finds-obama/?utm_term=.d002f657e15a

Why did Obama dawdle on Russia’s hacking?

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/why-did-obama-dawdle-on-russias-hacking/2017/01/12/75f878a0-d90c-11e6-9a36-1d296534b31e_story.html

Today, The Washington Post fails while desperately trying to cover for Obama:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/2017/world/national-security/obama-putin-election-hacking/?hpid=hp_rhp-banner-low_russiaobama-banner-7a%3Ahomepage%2Fstory&utm_term=.5544bd5c1267

Anyone notice that since the WAPO bombshell report a few days ago that the Democrats and their talking heads have stopped talking about their fake Putin/Russia/Trump conspiracy?

Interesting articles, thanks.

Looks like more proof that the Russian hacking was for real.

Yes.
Looks like Obama knew of Russian attempts to interfere and as usual did nothing.

Appears to be the case. Strange, you would think since the hacking was in Trump's favor that the Democratic administration would have seized on it to make Trump's campaign look bad.

Is it possible that they were actually trying to play fair and not create the impression they were sabotaging the election with disinfo?

I don't think so, none of these folks play fair, left or right. So there has to be another reason that the Russian hacking wasn't publicized.

How about Democrats and Republicans are all faces of the same beast, and Russia is part of it too, and it is just one big happy evil family?

On second thought, since the Washington Post is a leading corrupt liberal fake news mouthpiece, it is possible that this whole story is simply designed to convince folks that the Russian hacking was real, while spinning it as criticism of Obama, who is a non-player and non-issue by now.

Very crafty. By accepting this spin, you have to accept that the Russian hacking was real.

Honestly I am not convinced that the whole hacking thing is just a disinfo game, for whatever reason or by whom, I have no idea, it is all just very vague and smells rotten.

I had the same feeling, seeing that all the articles were from WAPO.
I don't know so much about fake news, but WAPO does have a definite Dem lean to it.

So if Obama would have gone 100% in on this as Trump was touting one of his many lies example: rigged election, then this would have been fuel for the fire. In the end, the perpetual liar won. He should give many thanks to Obama for not jumping in. Putin got what he wanted, the 38% got what they wanted, not sure if Trump got what he "really" wanted, and we are the joke of the world now with Trump steering the ship.

America was a joke of the world because Putin could do whatever he wanted knowing Obama hadn't the balls to stand up to him.

Exactly - So what you are telling us is that Obama was the joke of the world for letting Putin hack the elections and get Trump elected, so.it was a double-whammy coup for the Rssians, make Obama the joke of the world and then elect the next joke of the world Trump. Since after all the whole real story behind the hacking was the Russians trying to.influence the election in Trump's favor right?

Or what exactly are you suggesting the Russians were tryng to accomplish with the hackng?

Nice try but you should read what I actually wrote:

"America was a joke of the world because Putin could do whatever he wanted knowing Obama hadn't the balls to stand up to him."

Obama's cowardice and failure to lead was a common thread throughout his failed administration.

Nice try nothing. Just trying to get a straight answer other than "Obama failed". What do you think the purpose of the Russian hacking was?

X2

Further, for the most part Trump is still is denial or says very little about Russian intervention. He knows as do even semi-intelligent people what Putin's goal was. Putin's preference was Trump over HC, and Russian interference sewed the seeds for indirect influence enough to tilt the outcome. Process takes a back seat. Actually governing and leading has been a joke.

Strange that 17 intelligence agencies have gone on record as to Russia's influence and attempts to even hack the voting systems in many states. Even stranger is the lack of Trump's willingness to discuss Russian interference / hacking. To do so would diminish the credibility of his win, and we all know winning is all that matters to Trump.

Now that Trump has been elected, what steps has he taken to assure that this never happens again? What are his leadership actions on this matter? How many press conference has he, Conway, Sanders, or Spicer addressed this? Even an acknowledgement would be a good first step.

As long as he's got his 38%, he's a happy guy.

Nice regurgitating the left-wing spin.
Only three intelligence agencies went on record and said they were "speaking for" 17.
All three of those agencies were run by and completely controlled by Obama trash.

Obama should have done more to counter Russia's election meddling, top Dem says
Published June 26, 2017 - Fox News

Rep. Adam Schiff, the top-ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, said Sunday the Obama administration should have done more to counter Russia’s meddling in the U.S. election.

"I think the administration needed to call out Russia earlier, needed to act to deter and punish Russia earlier, and that was a very serious mistake," Schiff, of California, said in a televised interview with CNN.

Schiff added that President Barack Obama may have been worried that doing more against Russia would have looked like he was “trying to tip the scales for Hillary Clinton” and did not want to give in to the notion that the election was “rigged” against Donald Trump, according to The Hill.

President Trump criticized Obama earlier Sunday for allegedly doing “nothing” about reports that Russia interfered in last year’s presidential campaign.

“I just heard today for the first time that (former President) Obama knew about Russia a long time before the election, and he did nothing about it,” he said on “Fox & Friends Weekend.” “The CIA gave him information on Russia a long time before the election. … If he had the information, why didn't he do something about it?”

Trump suggested the media has underreported the story, while it has rigorously pursued allegations that his team colluded with Russia during the 2016 race, in which he upset Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.

The Washington Post reported Friday that the Obama administration hesitated to act on and speak about information it was given about Russia’s interference in the election.

So Trump has gone down this road.

Denying that there was hacking.

Blaming China for the hacking that didn't occur.

Blaming a 300 pound guy living in a baseman for the hacking that wasn't done.

Denying hacking occurred.

Blaming Obama for doing nothing about the hacking that didn't occur.

Meanwhile, State Department officials have noted, as has every news outlet that doesn't have a sneaky mammal in its name. that Trump has done nothing to address the hacking.

Congress, in a rare bilateral agreement, has passed a bill placing greater sanctions on Russia with a clause that says Trump cannot ease them without Congressional approval. Now why would they feel the need to do that?

LOL!!! You proved that you cannot and will not ever stop thinking about Obama. You and Trump can think about any topic you want, but you both choose Obama all day everyday. Pretty creepy if you ask me.

Obama's failed administration did serious damage to our country.
That is one of the reasons Donald Trump is President.

If fixing the damage done exposes Obama for his many failures so be it.

It will be great TV the day his sorry ass is, under subpoena, dragged before a Congressional hearing.

I'm just glad to see Mule finally admit that the Russians meddled in the election. It took a chance to try to blame Obama for something to do it, but he finally admitted it. Baby steps.

I did not "admit that the Russians meddled in the election".

Is lying your only way of making a point?

Obama knew that the Russians were trying to interfere in our election and for political reasons (and the fact that he was scared of Putin) and chose to do nothing.
Pretty much a theme of his entire failed administration.

Actually, if you ever watched anything other than Fox News, you would know that Obama personally confronted Putin about this and Russia backed off. But, as we see on a daily basis, you are completely uninformed.

I was going to reply to Mule, but he appears to be short-circuiting in this thread. I can see his robot head spinning with smoke pouring out of his ears...."Comey is a liar, There was no meddling, Trump was right......I told you Russia meddled, Trump was right". Yikes!!!!
