Nothing to Say About the Knife from OJ's former estate?

That's right today, today LAPD went on the news to say that they had in their possession a knife allegedly found buried at the Rockingham estate, the former residence of O.J. Simpson. The knife was reportedly found by a construction worker who gave it to a cop (who was retired) but was working playing a security guard on a movie set. The cop kept it as memorabilia and now has turned it over to the LAPD who sent it out for forensics.
With double jeopardy and OJ having NOT been convicted in the death of Nicole Simpson and her friend, Ron Goldman, what can happen? The police say that the case is still open because they never found out who did it back in the day.

Nope

No chain of evidence, the knife can't be used in any court.

Right.

Nothing can happen to OJ, but that former cop should be charged with a felony.

Smells like a hoax to me, probably inspired by the popularity of the TV mini-series.
