Line down to -4.5 for New England, O/U 48.

I would imagine that line bumps up if Gronkowski is cleared.

No strong feeling on the total, although weather will not be a factor and the game is on plastic grass.

sure would love to see what would happen in Philly if the Eagles win. I think everyone has Brady on such an incredible pedestal these days that he is larger than life and NFL history.
Difficult to believe that no one can solve Patriots or Belachek.

I would love to see Eagles win because nobody is that good for so long.

Nick Foles will need to come and play like he did in the NFC championship game and the "D" will have to be on point. Would love to see a Philly win.

Does anyone have 4k TV service?

I was thinking Directv might offer the Super Bowl in 4k this year. NFL has recorded the Super Bowl in 4k for 2 years prior but it wasn;t distributed to my knowledge. I see Directv is offering some 4k content. Anyone know how much they charge to upgrade?

He is the third highest to win the Super Bowl MVP. Found that odd.

Searched a bit. No 4k for SB. Directv is doing some NBA in 4K, but we don’t get the channel. NBC will do the Olympics n 4K I read.

Yeah they won it last year

it's the Lombardi trophy they're least proud of tho -- after all, one of if not the shittiest halves of football they've ever played in the Belichick/Brady era was....yep, in SB 2017 (28-3)

it didn't get much better last week, when penalties as much as anything enabled them to advance

they know 3 times won't be a charm -- this Phila squad would see to that if handed a big lead

KC is getting a great coach -- the D will be dialed in to the nines to make his last game of a stellar six years w/Pats, a winning one

Wait that's not right -- thought this was his last year & that he was going to KC after initial reports said NYG -- but it was Lions, not KC -- & apparently no done deals -- yahoo 😉

what they've done this year w/out Julian Edelman -- it's what they've done all along for most part -- heck even in 2008-09 when Brady was injured, they went 11-5

clinical, methodical, workmanlike -- not 'smashmouth', that went the way of the Big Tuna -- just 60 min of Pats football, & along-about 4th qtr on Sunday, anti-Toms will be breaking out ear muffies & into pouts as the chant of "Bra-dy, Bra-dy, Bra-dy" will be heard all the way back to Foxborough
....en route to final score of....28-10

Alex Smith traded to Washington. That means the Kirk Cousins era is over in DC. Really weird the way he was treated, for being a pretty decent QB he was never given much support. There is chatter that he might go to Minnesota, which would continue the Vikings' pattern of dismissing QBs that win games for them.

Meanwhile Smith goes to a mediocre 'Skins team that he can either resurrect or sink with as his career winds down. Is Smith a really good QB who never got a chance to finish a campaign or is he a mediocre QB who was ditched for an upgrade?

Lifelong Eagles fan here. 2 of the Patriots superbowls are tainted from cheating: ‘04 v the Eagles with Spygate, and then deflate gate. The one last year v Atlanta was handed to them 800 times throughout the second half. It truly seemed like Atlanta didn’t want the win, and wanted to give Brady a bunch of chances to come back. Only 2 of their Superbowls are legit. And if the spying and deflation had no affect, then why do it? Anyway, if the Eagles don’t turn the ball over and if they don’t drop passes, they win this game.

What, no mention of the Tuck Rule in 2001? 😉

I'm not a Pats fan, but I'm not buying this. The Pats have been dominant, Belicheck keeps winning games with different casts.

The Eagles have their work cut out for them, just depends on which Nick Foles shows up to play.

I think they are dominant too. Best QB and coach for sure. But they aren’t “5 Superbowls” good.

Well, they won so...

‘04 v the Eagles with Spygate...

"Spygate" was during the 2007 regular season, a year the Patriots lost the Super Bowl. Eagles lost in 2004 fair and square thanks to McNabb tossing an INT in the final minute.

Spygate was discovered in 2007, and revealed that Bilichik was doing it improperly since 2000.

Well, they won so...

So.........what? They won 3 legitimately ( 2 if you count Atlanta playing like a little league team )

Dude, this is some pretty sour grapes. And it's not like New England didn't contribute anything to their win against Atlanta. You score more points before the buzzer, you win the game.

I’m a Philly sports fan, what did you expect, lol. I’m confident though. We’re all confident here about this game.

Cant decide what team I want to win. Both fan bases are obnoxious to no end. I would say the only team below NE would be Philly.

Saw this thing on the news that the city of Philadelphia has some new tricks up their sleeves regarding the greasing of the street posts downtown because obviously the Crisco didn't work. for The Championship Game.

So obviously the city knew something like this could happen. In all of the footage I saw there were very few cops. Pretty sad. What are they going to do if Philly wins Sunday?

😮

Regarding the game itself, tough to bet against The Pats but I kind of like getting Philly and 4.5. Maybe it'll be an entertaining game, 28-24 or something like that. Heck I never thought Philly was going to blow Minnesota out of the water so what do I know?

Going to start a big pot of chili in the slow cooker when I wake up Sunday. Might have a friend or two over.

Let's just be thankful we don't have to listen to Joe ****ing Buck. 😉

Super Bowl Sunday
Go Pat's
For all of the people that are sick of the Patriots, too bad. It's a copy cat league. Why aren't there teams trying to do it he Patriot way. The AFC especially. Not the Patriots fault that they are good every year.
They've won five super bowls. All legitimate. None tainted. Even the two they lost to the Giants were great games.
I think the game will be close today, as usual. The Eagles are probably the best opponent this year. If they can keep Brady off the field they will have a chance.
Go Pat's... Do your job. Play sixty minutes.

If Wentz was playing I would like the Eagles chances , but I have a hard time believing Nick Foles can beat Tom Brady in the Super Bowl .

Colts player Edwin Jackson, Avon man killed by suspected drunken driver on I-70
Justin L. Mack and Emma Kate Fittes, IndyStar Published 10:05 a.m. ET Feb. 4, 2018 | Updated 3:31 p.m. ET Feb. 4, 2018

Indianapolis Colts player Edwin Jackson was one of two people killed early Sunday after being struck by a suspected drunken driver along Interstate 70.

According to the Indiana State Police, the crash happened shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday along the westbound lanes of I-70, just west of Holt Road.

Police said Jackson and 54-year-old Jeffrey Monroe of Avon were standing near a stopped vehicle when a black Ford F-150 pickup truck drove onto the emergency shoulder and struck them both.

Investigators believe that Monroe was a ride sharing operator who pulled to the side of the road and got out of the car to assist Jackson, 26, who became ill.

"One of the people struck was thrown into the center lane of I-70," Sgt. John Perrine said in a statement. "Shortly after the crash, and before any 911 calls were received, Trooper Ty Mays was driving through the area and noticed a vehicle in front of him make an evasive maneuver to the left."

Perrine said Mays then spotted the crash along the right side of the road and activated his emergency lights.

"As he slowed to stop for the crash he struck the body of the victim in the center lane," Perrine said in a statement.

The driver of the pickup truck, identified as 37-year-old Alex Cabrera Gonsales of Indianapolis, tried to flee the scene on foot.

He was apprehended shortly after on the ramp to Holt Road by Mays, police said.

"It is believed Gonsales was intoxicated and was driving without a license," Perrine said in a statement. "He was transported to the Marion County Jail, the result of the test for intoxication is pending."

Jackson, an inside linebacker originally from Atlanta, was signed by the Colts in January 2016 after signing to the practice squad on Dec. 22, 2015. He was placed on injured reserve in September 2017.

Known by the nickname "Pound Cake," Jackson was a high school football star and state-championship-finalist wrestler in Atlanta. He attended Georgia Southern University and joined the football team as a walk on, and he previously played for the Arizona Cardinals.

Hope they check Brady's balls, just to make sure everything is on the up and up.

Congrat's to the Eagles!
Good exciting game. No game changing calls from the ref's. I think they got all of the questionable calls right.
Pat's defense couldn't make any stops.
Eagles made more plays.

Glad to see the Eagles win. Entertaining game. Philly did what they need to do is just keep the foot on the Pats neck and don't let up. Doug Pederson should be the MVP.
