On Atlanta -2 1/2, thinking their recent playoff experience will help, plus if it comes down to a FG attempt, Bryant is damn good.

Came in third in my pick 'em league. Won about $200. Was also the weekly winner twice so overall I won about $500 less the $150 to get in so I got $350 for the season. Not bad, fun season.

Last year I won almost $1,000 coming in first.

On to some better playoff picks!

Grin

Nice!

Thanks! Yeah, not bad. Plowed most of it back into the playoffs. Hope I don't lose my shirt! Smile

No idea in this first game. Hoping Tennessee can pull a shocker in the second.

There are parameters. Whistle to whistle I guess you would say. Other than halftime as I mentioned. It's 5 to 1 on the over under. I can't believe there is anyway in the world his name won't be mentioned 3 times.

Casually listening I’ve heard Wentz three times. Sometimes only Wentz, did it have to be the full name?

I wondered about that too. I heard it a few times but it still hasn't posted. Who knows.

Still considered an "open bet". I know I heard his whole name twice in the first quarter (they showed him once) and I heard Carson once and Wentz once. I don't think lawyers need to get involved Smile but maybe they should just call it a wash. I did put a fair amount of money it.

For me anyway.

On Jax, got them yesterday at 7 1/2 when I heard Brown might not play, didn’t want it to drop.

Put a bundle on NE last night and greased into the over too with the late touchdown and XP. Won by 1/2 point. Nice to win one like that instead of the other way around. Grin

Everyone I know is on the Saints later, I took the Vikes giving 5. I think their D carries the day.

Jax off to a real good start. Cool

Wow! Vikings game was pretty special!

Starting qb's for the last four standing. Guess not who you would expect for the most part.

Case Keenum
Nick Foles
Blake Bortles
Tom Brady

Can't believe how badly the DB whiffed on that last play. 😮

Never so glad to get a push on the wager. Cool

Early lines, NE by 9, Minn by 3.5

Interesting how that played out. Line wise. If anyone thought they would try that extra point they were kidding themselves. Can't believe I won but I was only giving four. Figured I had lost.

I believe that unless the game was tied there is no option to go for the pat

Apparently I'm wrong. ?rationale is that points differential can determine playoff eligibility/position.
Also that a fumbled PAT could be returned for a score

The teams were already seeded and their spots established. Points wouldn't have mattered here. Probably in a regular season game though, as you said.

I don't think it would have mattered had a missed PAT been returned. I could be wrong but I think it is only worth two points so it wouldn't have mattered in this case. I don't understand why they made them run that play; it couldn't have had any way to change the output of the game.

I can't understand why they made them run the play. If this same situation had occurred in overtime, they don't kick the PAT. Scoring team wins by six. (Well, now it could be three if the other team had already kicked a field goal). That's why an OT game can never end in a team winning by seven; they don't kick the PAT.

It was stupid. Heck, they had to get 11 guys out of the Saints locker room to line up for that meaningless "play".

Yup. The playoff rule should be changed to game over

Got my sheet (yours may vary), NE -9, Minn -3.

Total NE/Jax 46 1/2, Minn/Phil 39.

Okay those who will be wagering, who you got Sunday?

The Pats line dropped to eight. Apparently everyone is on The Jags. Hate New England but it is tough to bet against them so I will lay the points.

On the other one, I like the Vikings. My line is three and a half. As I have mentioned before I can get it down to three if I buy that extra half point. It never, ever matters. Still, it's kind of a security blanket.

A lot of fun prop bets tomorrow.

Will there be a safety? An onside kick? A TD overturned?

They pay out well.

There's already one for The Super Bowl. How long will it take Pink to sing The National Anthem?

Over/Under: Two minutes.

Hell, it has to take longer than that!!

Probably a combination of folks that like Jax regardless and wanted the higher number plus Brady getting four stitches to the thumb knuckle of his throwing hand. Listed as questionable for the game but I'm not buying that. Line down to seven and o/u down to 45.

Second game, I may play the total rather than a team, haven't yet decided.

Ended up on NE -8 and also some on the under.

Have under On game two, still mulling whether to have a team or not.

Damn, really thought Jacksonville would slay the dragon.

On Vikings and the under. Seems to me, Minnesota can beat NE at home, Philly doesn’t match up very well against the Patties.

Yeah, me too.
They are probably gonna be sick watching that game film. Up 10 with 9mins left. I think they had about 98yrds in penalties.

As soon as Jacksonville started giving up yards from penalties, it felt over. The Pats never looked worried while Bortles couldn't get the ball down field in the 2nd half (Pats' corners had one of the best games I've seen from a secondary). I'm sure we all had deja vu - it's almost as if Belichek spots opponents a few just to make them feel comfortable. And it's not like the Jags didn't look good, they put up a pretty good fight.

And Philly - still surprised they were an underdog at home to Minnesota. The Vikings beat an ok Saints team at the buzzer, but Foles is a better QB than he is given credit.

Who would have thought 15 years after the Pats defeated the Donovan McNabb's Eagles in the Super Bowl that we'd have a rematch and Tom Brady would still be under center? I actually think Philly has a pretty good chance.

The dragon lives.
The advantage that the Patriots have every game is coaching. It's almost unfair. How prepared they are for every situation is unbelievable.
Brady is pretty good too!

Eagles fan who ran into subway pole says he is OK

video

PHILADELPHIA -- An Eagles fan whose attempt to rally subway passengers for a playoff game ended with him running into a concrete pole.

Jigar Desai said he is doing OK and his pain eased with the Eagles' 38-7 win over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday night in the NFC Championship Game.

The mishap occurred while Desai was heading to the game. He had a few drinks while watching the New England Patriots defeat the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC Championship Game.

The 42-year-old Eagles season-ticket holder from suburban Philadelphia said he got pumped up watching a group of Eagles fans on a train heading in the opposite direction and wanted to get them excited. Thomas Emmet Ashton, who recorded a video of the incident, told the Philadelphia Inquirer that Desai, who was in a Brian Dawkins jersey, was running alongside the train while trying to rally passengers before he crashed into a pole.

Yeah, I hit the pole, but the passion is there," Desai said. "It reflects the passion of the entire city. We are good fans. Yeah, there are a couple of bad apples in the mix -- in any city you're going to find that. But I think as a whole we have supported this team for years and years and years. I think this city is ready to bring home the hardware."

The Eagles will face the Patriots, the reigning NFL champions, in Super Bowl LII on Feb. 4 in Minneapolis. It will be the 10th appearance in the Super Bowl for the Patriots but just the third for the Eagles, who've never won it. The Pats have five Vince Lombardi Trophies.

Desai, who described himself as a "10-pound baby from India" who moved to Pennsylvania when he was a child, said his postgame celebration was a lot tamer and that he went to his job at a pharmaceutical company on Monday, although he was a bit sore. He said he might go to the doctor on Tuesday.

The subway platform run was perhaps the most viral moment from Sunday's festivities in Philadelphia, which included videos of fans climbing light poles slicked with Crisco, Eagles fans throwing beer at Vikings fans and a fan arrested for punching a police horse.

"I'm not throwing bottles or punching horses," Desai said. "It was just running into a pole."

Our government is spending billions looking for a link between Russia/Putin and either Hillary/Trump. Everyone knows this is all fake; but Putin is the controlling force behind Billy B/Tom B. There is no other rational explanation.
