Gondicar, after telling us it was time to move on from this, you haven't moved on. Get over it already.
Sorry, but the NFL is still pursuing an appeal in the courts and just this week has been contracting each other in the media about it, so it is back in the news again and I am commenting on it for the first time in months. I'll probably comment on it again when the appeal decision is rendered, and again on draft day when the Pats don't get to make a first round pick. Deal with it.

No problem. We have learned to deal with whining Patriots fans.

Good, then we are all square since we've learned to deal with whiny haters as well.
FWIW, a recent poll has found Brady to be both the most liked and the most hated QB in the league. And for this first time since Public Policy Polling has been doing a pre-Superbowl poll, the Cowboys are not the most hated team, the Patriots have taken over that honor.

Gondicar is always a please to chat with; but he does tend to act a bit like Tommy Lee Jones

Denver's D was amazing again.
My sister could have played QB and Denver would have won
that said, and not to take anything away from the Broncos, that "incomplete pass" that somehow held up to challenge is mind boggling. The fact that it was followed by the defensive TD makes it a major play in the game.
The league needs to look at that.

Wow I did not expect Denver to win or Panthers to score 10 points , congrats Broncos .

Agreed on points. Just a brutal game.

Pats fired their o-line coach yesterday. I only wish they could coax Dante Scarnecchia out of retirement.
YES!!!
Patriots in discussions with Dante Scarnecchia on return to coaching staff

Denver D was just awesome yesterday. Amazing scheme and execution. Very happy for Wade Phillips and DeMarcus Ware. Class individuals, nice to see them finish first after all these years.

best part of that game for me was the Dorritos baby 😛 and "Jason Bourne"

Happy with the outcome of the game here !
The commercials on the other hand - pathetic.
Yes, the Doritos and the sonogram one was the exception, that one had the wife and I laughing out loud, the rest of them, dismal.

I can't say I'm too surprised. As the "Carolina Unstoppable" talk increased over the past two weeks, I wondered how everyone forgot that Denver's D has carried that team (and their aging backup QB). That kind of talk often inflates the praised team, it looked like Carolina underestimated Denver's D (Denver's offense certainly didn't look too stellar for most of the night - The Forehead looked like a prop for most of the night). Carolina looked a little lost from the beginning, they never got any rhythm on offense.
I couldn't believe they didn't overturn that catch. Obviously a big momentum shift. The ball never hit the ground, I don't know how you determine that wasn't a catch. One of the worst calls (twice!) I've seen.

When Peyton said on camera that he was going to be drinking a ton of Buds later, I thought - a bit of priceless advertising right there for ole Anheuser Busch.
Turns out there is a price tag on that:

I though the first angle was inconclusive; and the other angles you couldn't see the ball. You need clear evidence of error to overturn a call. A crucial play; yes. But Denver just beat the hell out of them. Lots of momentum change all over the place.

Denvers D is dominating. Have not seen one that good in a long time. They took care of business in the post season by stopping Pitt, punching TB12 and those guys in the mouth ,and shutting down Carolina.
Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

Some early lines on next year's Super Bowl:
Pats 7-1
Steelers 10-1
Seahawks 10-1
Packers 10-1
Panthers 11-1
I like Pitt.

I like the Packers, micelf.

Just need to stay healthy.
And nad a solid DB in the draft.
and lock up DeCastro so Ben doesnt get killed.

Man that Kraft guy sure is a class act:

SI's Peter King has finally seen the light! He's calling for the NFL to admit its mistake and give the Pats back their draft picks. I don't for a second think it will happen, but glad to see King put this out there...
"Based on the weight of the evidence from the past 13 months, and that weight being circumstantial and not convincing, there’s one conclusion I’ve reached entering the 2016 draft season: Roger Goodell needs to give back the picks.
Whatever happens in the appeal of the case—which isn’t centered on the Patriots’ guilt or innocence but rather on a point of labor law in the judge’s decision—Goodell needs to realize he acted without nearly enough scientific evidence against the Patriots. The NFL has some significant circumstantial evidence in the case, the kind that should have prompted a strongly worded letter and $250,000 fine. Instead, Goodell killed an ant with a sledgehammer."

Not sure what's funnier, Brady being both most and least favorite, or Tim Tebow (who hasn't taken an NFL snap since 2012) even appearing on either top 5...

Report: Tom Brady, Patriots Agree To Contract Extension Through 2019
by Doug Kyed on Mon, Feb 29, 2016 at 10:12AM
Fear not, New England Patriots fans. Tom Brady won’t be leaving anytime soon.
The Patriots and their quarterback agreed on a two-year contract extension, league sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Dianna Russini on Monday. Brady will be locked up through 2019, which would be his 20th NFL season and when he’ll be 42 years old, on the new deal.
Brady previously was signed through 2017. He had a salary cap hit of $15 million due for 2016 and $16 million due for 2017. Those cap numbers likely will go down in the new contract.
Patriots backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo is signed through 2017. It will be interesting to see if the Patriots move their young reserve now that Brady is locked up for four more seasons.
Brady threw for 4,770 yards with 36 touchdowns and seven touchdowns while completing 64.4 percent of his passes in 2015. He led the Patriots to the AFC Championship Game, where they lost to the Denver Broncos.

Calvin Johnson has retired 🙁

Calvin Johnson has retired 🙁
Same age (I think) as Barry Sanders was when he retired. Seems early, but hard to blame him considering how much he's earned and the physical risks taken each time he steps on the field.

In case you all hadn't heard, Peyton Manning also retired 😉
