Things are getting really ugly here in big D. Sad thing is I'm getting used to it.
If what Jerry Jones said is true, that Romo had broken his collarbone in 6 or 7 place in the first injury, it was foolish to let him play again this year. Nothing like putting winning over health.

Yeah.....Cowboys are done this year.
Packers might be in trouble. They have lost 4 of the last 5 games they have played.
Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

I would like to see Romo with another team. He'll die in Dallas.

I have no clue about whether he should have played in the game but when he came out for that last series given the fact they were getting killed, I looked at my wife and said "Why the hell are they putting him out there?"
Sure enough, he got hurt.
Everything in Moderation. Including Moderation.

Brutal loss for the Pats last night. I'm talking about Gronk, not the game. Fingers and toes crossed that the MRI is negative.
Game was about what I expected, except I thought they'd pull it out. Line was better against a better defense (still not great, esp run blocking), but the lack of experience in the receiving corps showed, especially after Gronk went down and no one could get open during that opening drive of OT. Oh, and another horrific officiating display, just awful.
It's one loss, not a big deal really. On to the Eagles. The real season starts in January, just no more injuries please.

From what I have heard, the injury isn't supposed to be too serious. I don't like the Pats at all but you hate to see anyone get hurt. It was nice to hear Brady say it wasn't a dirty play which it wasn't. Just goes to show that you can't really hit or tackle anymore. I can't blame the officials for ALL of the calls. They are enforcing what the league makes them do. Having said that, there have been some head scratcher calls the past couple of years.

Patriots just got more dangerous. The whole going undefeated thing is the most useless yet damaging of all media distractions.

spot on.
my friends and I said the exact same thing Sunday night after the Denver loss.
watch out...

REPORT: NFL Removes Poorly Performing Refs From SNF Game, Assigns Them To The Patriots Eagles Game. I Sh!t You Not.
From CBSBoston:
The NFL has an announcement to make: Referee: Pete Morelli and his officiating crew are not good enough to handle a prime-time game. But they’re plenty good enough to officiate the Patriots’ game.
This news developed Tuesday morning, when Mike Florio reported that Morelli’s crew was being taken off the Sunday night game between the Colts and Steelers after that crew performed poorly this past Sunday in the Cardinals-49ers game.
Brief history lesson: Morelli was the referee for the controversial wild-card playoff game between the Lions and Cowboys this past January. Morelli’s crew on Sunday at one point forgot how to count downs. As in, the officiating crew didn’t know what down it was.

I had a good time at the Redskins/Giants game Sunday. Traffic was miserable on 95 but the win was fun. Lots of disappointed Giants fans.
My Brother in Law and Nephew are coming in from Denver for Monday Night's game against the Cowboys. The Redskins have been tough at home. Every game I've been to has been exciting.

Good lord, Jerry thinks that with the Giant's loss to the Redskins the 3-8 Cowboys still have a chance to make the playoffs. They were talking about not putting Romo on IR "just in case." This used to be a legitimate franchise. Ugh.

Patriots are a good enough team to over come any bad officiaitng.
They will just have to play good enough(which they can) and dont let the ref''s decide the game. I would not worry about the NFL trying to screw them against the Eagles. 😛

Any Given Sunday

Love this time of year
Patriots set to make another playoff run and jszfunk's sig.

Sports Illustrated managed to sum up the entire Patriots-Broncos game in one photo with this regional cover. Denver's Matt Paradis putting a blatant full nelson on Dominique Easley with no penalty on the play. Well done, SI! 😛

10-1, still whining.

you keep your nose above the water with the Chiefs
we'll wave as we're sailing by... 😛 😛

Calling them as I see them. Plus it gets boring just talking about great they are all the time, but you probably wouldn't understand that, at least when it comes to football...you might get there with your baseball team if they can keep it up for another 12 or 13 years. 😛

With all of you being so great, it certainly shouldn't be this easy to push the buttons.
I'd rather see the Chiefs go 0-16 forever than see them win by cheating in every single way possible and declaring themselves bigger than the league and the game.

yeah.
philly sent a recon team to check out Gillette.
the greatest home field advantage in history. 😛
visiting teams use sign language at half time.

Jeez, so much for the smiley face I guess.
So, in terms of pushing buttons, were you hiding in a cave someplace this past February to August while the entire sporting world and beyond had a 6 month button-stomping party at the expense of the Patriots and their fans? And if standing up for yourself against groundless charges resulting from one of the most comprehensively sloppy and slanderous witch hunts in entire the history of mankind is somehow in your mind analogous to "declaring themselves bigger than the league and the game" well then that's your problem, not anyone else's.

LOL. Yes, one of the most unfair witch hunts in the history of the world. The struggle is real.
“I don’t really care how the Patriots are perceived, truthfully. I really don’t. I really don’t." - Tom Brady, November 2015
He doesn't care. Why should you?
What was it that Brady said after the court case victory? "I hate what this has done to the league." That's the biggest line of BS in the history of the world. He, the coach and the owner couldn't care less about the league. That line from Kraft, "The NFL did us a favor." Yeah, he's all about the league too. What a crock.
But, hey, continue complaining about being 10-1. It's really cute.

Uh huh. You can cherry pick which Brady quotes you want to believe and which ones you want to dismiss 'til the cows come home, but it would be a mistake for anyone to think that he isn't playing with a big chip on his shoulder this season.

What's any of what I've said got to do with how he's playing this season? He and the Patriots are playing better than everyone else. Probably will win another title regardless of whatever desperate struggles the world unfairly places before them. Still doesn't fade a perception of Brady as an arrogant, classless cheater.

I'll take your word for it. You also said that he said "I hate what this has done to the league" and then promptly dismissed it out of hand. That's called cherry picking which of his statements you want to believe. And remember, perception is a point of view, an opinion, not necessarily reality.

You should take it easy Jerry. Remeber, these guys were "in the trenches" during this whole ordeal (also known as the most slanderous witchhunts in the entire history of mankind. Sorry McCarthyism!).
They might be dealing with some sort of FFPTSD (Football Fan Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). Sh!ts real man.

He said “I don’t really care how the Patriots are perceived, truthfully. I really don’t. I really don’t," in his GQ Man of the Year interview. There's some dashing pin-ups at the link: http://www.gq.com/story/tom-brady-chuck-klosterman-gq-man-of-the-year-2015
As to the other statement, I got it slightly wrong, it was part of a ridiculously comical, self-serving steaming pile of BS larger statement made back in September:
“While I am pleased to be eligible to play, I am sorry our league had to endure this. I don’t think it has been good for our sport – to a large degree, we have all lost. I am also sorry to anyone whose feelings I may have hurt as I have tried to work to resolve this situation. I love the NFL. It is a privilege to be a member of the NFL community and I will always try to do my best in representing my team and the league in a way that would make all members of this community proud. I look forward to the competition on the playing field and I hope the attention of NFL fans can return to where it belongs – on the many great players and coaches who work so hard every week, and sacrifice so much, to make this game great."

Absolute puke. He, the coach, the owner, the team, the fanbase, they could give a rat's a$$ about the NFL. That much is clear.

Stop it, Bhawk. You might hurt someone's feelings.

I can't hold it in any longer...:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
Scott, I may or may not be trolling you. There's no one to have an intelligent argument with politics on the WP anymore, so, I was bored, and, you're a bit of an easy mark and...
...if I got your blood pressure up I apologize, well, maybe...:P:P:P:P:P:P:P:P
