need to rant....Chip Kelly the coach is fine. Chip Kelly the GM is a train wreck so far. He gets rid of pro-bowlers Maclin and Desean, and replaces them with Jordan Matthews and Josh Huff, 2 guys who can't get open, and drop the ball when it finally does come their way. Demarco Murray is surprisingly struggling to figure out this offense, but that I guess is offset by acquiring Ryan Matthews, who is been tremendous. But for some reason Chip gives most carries to Murray, when Matthews is clearly the better back for this system. And the Sam Bradford experiment is not working. Granted, his receivers have been awful, but he sure misses a lot of targets. His specialty is supposed to be accuracy, and we haven't seen much of that with him. Eagles will be nasty if they figure out their offense, because they might have the best D in the league.

Agree with most of this...
Overall CK is not a good GM, however he did not get rid of Maclin. They offered him a very good contract and he opted to go to KC for A) more money and B) he's from MO. I can't blame Chip for that. Nowadays, it's all about the Cap.
I also have a hard time blaming Bradford for much. He's certainly not playing great, but his receivers are letting him down big time. Matthews needs to catch the damn ball. He's big and can get open, he just can't catch this year for some reason. Same with Huff. The team had 7 key drops vs. Carolina. The passes weren't perfect, but all catchable by NFL caliber receivers. You can't win like that. And what's the alternative? Sanchez? No thanks. He'll throw the exact same amount of INTs as Bradford has been. The only difference is that Bradford has upside. Sanchez is Sanchez.
If Ryan Matthews is healthy, he should be the feature back with Murray spelling him. In my opinion, Murray has lost a step somewhere. He doesn't have the same burst he used to and Matthews does. And if that pisses Murray off, good. He should earn the starting spot back. But he's clearly being being outrun by Matthews.
The D has been great. The O needs to step it up big time. Thankfully we're in such a weak division, we could still make the playoffs, but for what?

If Chip Kelly had been patient with Foles, the Eagles would likely be atop the NFC East right now (which isn't saying much). Not that Foles is Aaron Rodgers or anything, but he is better than a guy who hasn't seen the field in two out of three years and is being paid $15 million. Butt fumble aside, Sanchez did make two straight AFC Championship games.
Coaches shouldn't be GM's, at least not at the same time. Holmgren left Green Bay so he could be GM and Coach in Seattle and they took GM duties away after a few years of mediocrity (his eventual replacement in Green Bay, Mike Sherman, was given both titles, and was also stripped of GM duties and replaced by Ted Thompson, the man who replaced Mike Holmgren as GM in Seattle and built a Super Bowl caliber team in both cities). The coach should have a say in regards to talent, but let a GM build the team for the coach.

The Franchise returns on Sunday to Pittsburgh.
You had your fun Bungles. Now its out turn.
Time to leave the rest of the AFC in our dust.
See ya in Foxborough in Janurary

Seven and ohhhhhhh. Next up, the Redsk....errrr, the team from Washington. #vengeancetour

defense ain't bad either...

If the Chiefs play Division III teams the rest of the year, I'm taking the Division III team.
even if they're favored... 😛
I guess that makes the Steelers what, NAIA?
:P:P:P:P:P
I took KC this week in the ABBSpread.
they'll get beat by 30. Bank on it. 😛
The Chiefs are playing the Lions in London.
If you think you know what's going to happen in that one, you must be insane.
Well, come to think of it... 😛

London or any neutral field has nothing to do with the fact that I took KC, besides Detroit being woefully inept.
bet Detroit. 😛

PS - the opening montage with the kiddos was amazing!

Stat of the day: since moving into Gillette Stadium in 2002, the Patriots have never lost at home when leading at halftime.

Good lord, don't encourage them.

That Giants-Saints game was one for the ages. How much does it have to suck to throw 6 TD passes, score 49 points and LOSE. Couldn't have happened to a better team though...and that it happened the same day the Jets got blown out by the Raiders and the Mets lose the WS after an epic 9th inning comeback by the Royals (yes, I am still bitter about '86) just made is more satisfying for this Boston sports fan. 😮 😛
On another note, it would appear the Colts are being investigated for cheating. All I can say is, HA HA HA HA HA!!!
And of course Monday would not be complete without a gratuitous TB12 pic...

Wow!! Super 42 still hurts doesn't it ....LOL

Not really, its more about the whole NY/Boston sports rivalry. Although I will say that that most of my friends who are Giants fans are also Yankee fans who would rather never talk about SB42 than have to even think about the 2004 ALCS for even a second so it keeps the jabbing about those two memorable sports moments to a minimum. 😛

That would require actual winning. 😮 😛

well if you are going to cheat at least win.

well if you are going to cheat at least win.
and I'll ask yet again, for the umpteenth time; name a game the Patriots won by "cheating".
name ONE.
go ahead...
otherwise, stuff your assumptions.

Packers got it handed to them Sunday night. I definitely saw that coming - all of the Manning is washed up talk, Broncos wearing their SB32 "throwbacks", etc. Green Bay needed a gut check, and as much as I hate losing to the Broncos, I don't mind the loss - rather they drop one now to an AFC team than in the playoffs (or SB). Hopefully this gets them some intensity for Carolina next week. At least it made Skip Bayless's day, who has a weird, unexplainable disdain for Aaron Rodgers.
Somehow, while no one was paying attention, the Vikings have snuck up and are 5-2, just a game behind Green Bay, so no coasting through the NFC North, which is good - a team needs to be tested so they are ready to roll come playoff time.
Meanwhile, the 49ers are having a fire sale and might bench Kaepernick for....Blaine Gabbert! Talk about completely making a mess of a team.

Denver is real good but I don't think they're that much better than the Packers. Packers looked flat and out of sync. Denver's D had something to do with that but I wouldn't be too concerned about the Packers.
still got them losing to the Patriots in SB50. 😉

Totally agree, not worried at all, every team has it's day and this just allows them to gut check and make adjustments. Sometimes you just get out-schemed and Denver's D is pretty incredible right now. Peyton and the whole team felt like they had something to prove I'm sure, but watch Peyton run out of gas down the stretch.

it'd be a mile-high field day for the scalpiz if they were both 10-0 going into their Nov. 29 game

ya gotta love Jerry on his weekly radio segment talking about monkeys in reference to sociopath #1, Dez, (Hardy being #2) buying a pet monkey.
what's in the water down in Big D?
😛

Look, y'all need to worry about the Lions.
😛

It will be interesting to see Denvers D against NE offense. The Pats seems to stick with the short to mid dink and dunk passes and they have multiple weapons to do that type of play,so it's no secret or suprises coming. They are very good and succeed at it. I am not sure the rankings the defenses they have played so far but the overall record of the teams NE has faced are 21-30.
Peyton may run out of gas, but the D has been keeping them in games. I would not underestimate them.

Colts fire offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton
Zak Keefer, zak.keefer@indystar.com 6:49 p.m. EST November 3, 2015
Eight games into a disappointing season, the Indianapolis Colts have made the first significant personnel move: The team fired offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton on Tuesday night.
Assistant head coach Rob Chudzinski will take over as the team's offensive coordinator.
“Through the first eight weeks of the season, we have felt our offense hasn’t performed at the consistent level that we need," coach Chuck Pagano said in a team release. "Because of this we’ve decided to go in a different direction and relieve Pep Hamilton of his duties as offensive coordinator. As head coach of this team, it’s my responsibility to make sure I’m doing everything we can to put us in the best position to succeed. We thank Pep for his service to the team and wish him all the best.”
Hamilton arrived in Indianapolis in 2013 as the replacement for Bruce Arians, who left to become head coach of the Arizona Cardinals. Reunited with star quarterback Andrew Luck, Hamilton guided the league's top passing offense in 2014.
But this season, plagued in part by Luck's injury, the unit took a sizable step back.
The team is 3-5 and will host the undefeated Denver Broncos on Sunday.

as soon as the colts can't make the playoffs pagano is gone and then at the end of the season, now that irsay is off of the pills, grigson is gone. irsay was pretty high around the time he hired grigson and pagano. if pagano hadn't had cancer and become a fan favorite because of it, he would have been gone after last year.
