Crimes Against Muslim Americans and Mosques Rise Sharply
WASHINGTON — Hate crimes against Muslim Americans and mosques across the United States have tripled in the wake of the terrorist attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, Calif., with dozens occurring within just a month, according to new data.
The spike includes assaults on hijab-wearing students; arsons and vandalism at mosques; and shootings and death threats at Islamic-owned businesses, an analysis by a California State University research group has found.
President Obama and civil rights leaders have warned about anecdotal evidence of a recent Muslim backlash, particularly in California. But the analysis is the first to document the rise, amid a crescendo of anti-Islamic statements from politicians.
“The terrorist attacks, coupled with the ubiquity of these anti-Muslim stereotypes seeping into the mainstream, have emboldened people to act upon this fear and anger,” said Brian Levin, a criminologist at California State University, San Bernardino.
Mr. Levin runs a hate-crimes research group at the university, the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism, which produced the analysis and provided the results to The New York Times.
...not to mention the thousands of Syrian refugees who are fleeing terror in their home country and are being denied shelter by nations gripped in fear. They are victims of terror as well.
And they are probably more terrified than anybody else because the war is in their homeland. AND if they know the prophecies in Islam, they know that there will not be peace in Syria. Syria is actually the place that Jesus will eventually be with a small band of followers as they head out to slay the anti-Christ and restore order to Jerusalem. There's a lot that will happen between now and that time. A LOT of things will happen before that time including the rise of the Islamic Mahdi who will emerge from Isfahan, Iran, that is when the world will become aware of him, but he will be of Saudi origin.
I also want to point out that a Senator from Maine said that refugees are vetted for 24 months before being allowed to come to the US. They are not just let in here. The REAL threat in migration comes from those in the Visa Waiver program who are not checked and are admitted to the US to study or work.
The only thing certain is that there is a Holy War that is going on. We can agree that Isis does not represent most the Muslims, they are laying the foundation for all that is to come. The only way to stop people from becoming refugees is to stop having wars or being involved in them, and that is not something that we will do until it gets so bad, including attacks here in this country, that people accept the ONE WORLD LEADER, ONE WORLD ARMY, initially they will put the United Nations in Charge to transition people over to accepting the idea, THEN the anti-Christ will rise and take his seat in Jerusalem.
