Uncle Sam is hardening up for a terrifying new world - rampant terrorism, cyber warfare, newly-established super-power dictatorships, escalating tension with North Korea. We need experience as we build up our military to be the strongest, fastest, and most destructive force on the planet.

How does having the most “destructive force” on the the planet defend us from cyber warfare?

Apparently the best way to fight cyber warfare is to ignore congressional sanctions on countries that attack us and praise leaders of countries that attack us on their reelection.

That and an ill advised phone call congratulating Putin on a sham election victory while ignoring poisoning on British soil should keep Trump in Putin's good grace. There is a way to butter one's bread & take care of self interests.

Straight up, honest question here.

Do you really believe that our military isn't all of that already, and hasn't already been all of that for quite a while now?

Peace through strength.
Bolton has over 3 decades of foreign policy and national security experience.

President Trump has made yet another good decision and the lefties can't stand it.

Ha ha

Here’s a non sequitur to make your troll bot head spin...if he’s making good decisions by constantly sacking members of his cabinet, does this not mean he made poor, uneducated, half baked decisions when selecting these cronies?

Please oh wise Putin fluffer, enlighten us with your fair and balanced opinion.

Ah, yes, another long time Hawk war profiteer who has no idea what actual warfare is. He's never served or worn a military uniform but rants and raves about American military might and how it should be used to anyone who listens. Usually any crowd in which he can make money from in the process.

He's also the same so called "expert" who supported and pushed for the invasion of Iraq. What a tremendous success that war was...

I wonder if he thinks we should retaliate against Russia? My suspicion is no...I wonder why?

I read something yesterday that said he benefitted from the Cambridge Analytics. Facebook has been criticized for that recently, so Bolton may have be held up to scrutiny for that, if it is true.

Maybe YOU and gluber will get drafted to fight in trump's wars. 😮

I enlisted when it was the patriotic and responsible thing to do.
Some of us acted to help our nation while cowards like you ran.

What was it like serving in the Soviet Union, Bot Boy? I was always under the impression military service for young men in the Soviet Union was mandatory and so had little to do with patriotism for Russia itself. I guess I was wrong....

Trump spends the entire Republican Primary of 2016 slamming the 2003 Iraq invasion as the worst foreign policy mistake in the history of the United States. Now, he hires John Bolton who was the biggest cheerleader of that "mistake" be one of his main advisers on foreign policy. Makes all kinds of sense, right?

I could accept a president who holds different beliefs than I do a lot more easily than one who actually has no beliefs at all.

Being completely unprincipled is not "refreshing" or "telling it like it is" or any of the other crap that Fox News and other Trump supporters claim it to be. This fool is doing a lot of damage. Period.

This to me is the most concerning personnel change within the administration so far.

One reason to potentially vote for Trump (for those among that group) - he wasn't a neocon. Now we have a neocon as national security advisor. Great. Bolton is smart, he knows stuff. But how he processes that stuff and makes recommendations of what to do in his global view is what worries me and should worry us all. Trump probably likes him because he talks tough and can conduct himself well on TV. The guy has been around for years and has experience. I just don't want him using that experience to bend the President's ear, especially one so, shall we say 'flexible' as this one can be in certain situations influenced by certain people.
