Yes
When the obvious is viewed as mysterious and sinister it is so much more thrilling.
Its bureaucratic institutions gaining power and taking control over things that elected and accountable officials should be responsible for. Once enabled with these powers, their entitlement becomes arrogance, and like all who are empowered they seek to expand control while aggressively defending their right to continue using it.
Of course, in most cases its the feckless elected officials who gave away the responsibility in the first place just so they wouldn't have to be held accountable at reelection time.
Hard to understand why all liberty-loving Americans wouldn't want to see this minimized.

Indeed....this sentence encapsulates many of the current and past members of Congress, both Rep. and Dem. On issues like declaring war, on impeaching treasonous presidents who use the office for their own personal gain, etc., etc....

Hearing you loud and clear, great posts all, and concur wholeheartedly - yet still not seeing a "Deep State". Looks like the same old same old, $$$ pulling the strings, been that way since Babylon.
