Myself, I got a PS90 (log splitter), and just had to try it next morning.
Back brace on, check. Support belt on, check. Pick up while bending at knees, uh-not really, bad knee.
Lift log, place on rails, make sure air valve is open in hydraulic pump, check.
Push power button and hold down actuator lever, check.
Feel something go 'snick' in back around 30 minutes later, check, and quit while ahead.
Christmas Day, deliver and help son set up 21 gallon Porter-Cable compressor, check.
Heavy sneeze on way home, yeah.
Have to stop and lean over tailgate till dizzy spell passes and pain subsides, uh huh.
Call doctor next morning and get pharmacy to deliver some nice opioids, oh yeah!!
follow instructions to lie on back or in a reclined position, heat applications, hot showers, massage ( no happy endings though), home visits by chiropractor. boy did I get babied those few days.
Chiropractor jumped out of skin when back went kerWHUMP, like he'd never seen that before, which he said he hadn't. Pain starts to subside, but told to continue treatment a few more days.
Felt good this morning, no pain meds needed. Went out and cut down a dead oak tree, sawed into 20 inch lengths, run them through the log splitter.
That was my Christmas adventure.

Cool site. When I ran the college Cinema I showed "The Seventh Seal". A few kids showed up thinking "Swedish Movie", yeah.
A few weeks later I showed "Bullitt" and had a packed house two nights in a row.
I still remember the snickers when the janus films double faced logo came on the screen.
