Anyone else as impressed w/Ronda Rousey . . .dynamite looking woman, & the top competitor in her field of MMA -- just the hottest of the hot, a sweetheart & someone to be respected --
the look on her face entering the ring Saturday Said It All -- no chance for opponent -- she's got it over Gina, for sure

As a rule, I avoid women who can kick my a$$ in a fair fight. The ones who brow-beat you half to death are bad enough! Yeah, nice lookin' gal though.

She's the real deal. Backs up what she says she's going to do. Tough in the ring. If you haven't had a chance, check out the SI photos & video of her shoot. She's as hot out of the ring as she is as tough in the ring.

Current ESPN headline: "Rousey to star in biopic"
it almost had to happen -- hopefully she doesn't become "movie babe" 1st, "athlete" 2nd tho

i think she is following in the Rocks footsteps. Same agent etc. She should, she has it all and is about the most marketable person on the planet right now.

On the 1 hand she's famous enough as it is right now & any effort to be marketed would only be artificial
on the other, w/no one there to fight (not Meisha Tate again Please), maybe this is indeed the time to cash in during this her "peak marketability" period

she was great greeting her fans in Brazil -- walked right over & into a crowd of fans, obviously hugely pleased -- what a charmer -- hopefully she doesn't lose that to artificial fame

I thought I read where she made mention of Mayweather at the ESPY's, in a not very positive way.

Rousey: Could beat 'anyone,' including Mayweather, in no-rules fight

Ronda Rousey refused to back down in her bitter feud with Floyd Mayweather when asked about the task of facing him in a no-rules fight, the latest jab in her public verbal slugfest with the pound-for-pound boxing champion.

Monday night when she was asked by a fan in Reddit's Ask Me Anything chat if she could take Mayweather in a no-holds-barred bout, Rousey did not pull any punches.

To no one's surprise, Ronda Rousey was as honest as ever in an online Q&A.
"Floyd is one of the best boxers of all time," said Rousey, the UFC female bantamweight champion. "He would definitely beat me in a boxing match. I unfortunately don't get into 'matches.' I fight for a living.

"In a no-rules fight, I believe I can beat anyone on this planet," she said. "Boxing is a sweet science with strict rules that I respect very much and aspire every day to improve at. But you said ruleless fight, and that's my honest answer."

Rousey's comment comes almost a month after she told reporters after winning an ESPY award for Best Fighter, for which Mayweather was a nominee: "I wonder how Floyd feels being beat by a woman for once. I'd like to see him pretend to not know who I am now."

Rousey said she had been waiting for the right opportunity to call out Mayweather, who in a July 2014 interview said of her, "I don't even know who he is."

Ronda Rousey on what would happen if she faced Floyd Mayweather in a UFC octagon: "In a no-rules fight, I believe I can beat anyone on this planet."

"I know for damn sure he knew who I was," Rousey told reporters after winning her ESPY. "He was running against me for Best Fighter that year, and he had signed MMA fighters, so his feigned ignorance was meant to really be a snarky remark to me.

"I don't let those kind of things slide, but I'm also a patient girl," she said. "I'm not the kind of chick you make snarky remarks about. I waited a whole year to say something. And you know what? If I didn't win Best Fighter this year, I would have waited two years or three years."

Rousey (12-0) is the only women's bantamweight champion in the UFC's history. A two-time U.S. Olympic judoka, she has dominated her new sport. She defended her title by knocking out Bethe Correia only 34 seconds into the first round at UFC 190 in early August.

Rousey is widely seen as a fighter who is redefining the sport and has won 11 of her 12 fights in the first round, going into the third round once.

No rules? They let you go in there with a tire tool or a handgun?

It's a semi interesting hypothetical situation, but would never actually happen.

Let's not discount Rousey's marketing skills, keeping her name in the headlines.

Edit: {resisting the urge to post more photos}

Exactly -- "rulesless fight"? I don't think so, but she's still respectful 1st toward boxing as a sport

Why? 😮 😮 😛
that one bob1954 posted is about perfect :eyyecandyy:
but maybe some "marketing" does need to go into her career -- ie, the MMA grapevine could dry up -- there simply is no one out there to challenge her right now (Holly Holm? just 1 name I've heard), & her popularity could wane, even w/those looks -- upcoming biopic will be Interesting
Bottom line, no fighting a male -- if no chicks to fight, that's it/tough luck

Hypothetical scenario:

You're out on a date with Ronda and you get mugged. You say, "Hey, talk to my girlfriend. That's right, the foxey one, right there."

While she didn't do any poses like that in "Expendables 3", she was working that short red dress pretty good.

there simply is no one out there to challenge her right now (Holly Holm? just 1 name I've heard)

That's Ronda's next opponent -- former boxer Holly Holm, Jan. 2 -- she's saying all the right things -- the perfect attitude
To Ms. Holm: Good Luck

"Definitely my biggest challenge to date. I'm super excited about it," Rousey said of Holm.
"She's not the average chick I would fight. She's the best striker I've ever fought, and striking is something I learned much later in my career."

"I don't ever expect the fights to be easy and fast," Rousey said. "A lot of the guys you see, the first round is more of a feel-out period, and they're both kind of sizing them up and taking their time.

"There's no feel-out period for my fights. It starts right away. You don't know what's going to happen, and the first exchange is the most dangerous."

Holm is 2-0 in the Octagon. As a pro boxer, she compiled a 33-2-3 record with nine KOs.

In kickboxing, Holm also won an IKF welterweight championship in 2001.

“I’m sorry, I know no one asked me anything but I have to say something,” Rousey said. “It’s so not right for (Diaz) to be suspended five years for marijuana. I’m against them testing for any weed at all. It’s not a performance-enhancing drug. It has nothing to do with athletic competition, and it’s only tested for political reasons so they say, ‘Oh, it’s only for your safety so you’re not hurting yourself when you’re out there.’ So why don’t they test for all the other things that could possibly hurt us that we could be under the influence of while we’re out there?

“There’s no reason for them to be testing for weed. In athletics, the beautiful thing about it is it separates everything from politics. It shouldn’t be involved at all.”

I give Holly a puncher's chance -- she looks fit, confident -- how good she is at the other stuff will determine it -- Much will be told in 1st couple minutes

it's a good challenge for Ronda & if she wins impressively the world will then Really be her oyster etc -- she's gotten a little too big too fast & needs to show she knows The Ring is where it's at for her -- hasn't-yet been the case otherwise, & if she's composed & has the look coming in, done deal (arm bar)

then next stop, the silver screen & Dalton, if that Roadhouse remake ever gets made -- I might be 1st in line 😮 -- greaseballs looking to hit on the hottie new bouncer, then Boom -- out come the karate kicks/elbow smashes/broken arms/faces -- & broken hearts -- watta vehicle for Ronda, it's too perfect -- yes maybe in-fact, more so than the ring 😮 :shaddap:
Let's go Ronda

She couldn't deal with Holly's boxing/kickboxing game -- a great win for Holly Holm -- devastating, to point where rematch maybe wouldn't be any different -- Ronda knew all about Holm's experience coming in -- but it's not like Ronda was 'exposed' as a fighter either

Would like to see Ronda get a rematch, if she's convinced the outcome would be different this time

takes some of the drawing power outta the movie tho -- an impressive win & that Raoadhouse sequel would've gone off the charts IMO
Mainly, hopefully it doesn't change the upbeat happy foxy Ronda & that she's fine -- she's the real deal

Lady Gaga among stars who knocked Ronda Rousey after Holly Holm loss

http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2015/11/16/lady-gaga-knocks-ronda-rousey-after-ufc-champ-loses-heavyweight-title/?intcmp=hpff

While criticizing from their mansions… it is still a low blow.

We all know Ronda Rousey has a burgeoning acting career, but did you know current UFC bantamweight champion Holly Holm also has a movie coming out?

And not only that, but the film also stars fellow fighters Cris Cyborg and Miesha Tate. So, yeah, it pretty much sounds like Rousey's worst nightmare.

Called "Fight Valley," the film is slated for a spring release and is an action thriller. Here's the official summary from the filmmakers:

"When Tory Coro is found dead in the streets of Fight Valley, her sister Windsor moves to the town to begin her own investigation. There she meets Jabs (Tate), the most feared and respected ex-fighter around. Windsor realizes to survive in the town she will have to fight. Under the training of Jabs, Windsor is determined to come face-to-face with Tory's killer and fight for justice."

Never knew Holm was in a film -- sounds cool but I'm a Ronda fan Every Step Of The Way

I am old fashioned and narrow-minded enough to the point where watching two women beat each other bloody just doesn't do anything for me. But it's funny that this Ronda lady was all the rage until the moment she got beaten by another contestant. Now I see her being ridiculed and dissed all over the internet. I guess everybody only likes a winner. Does this loss mean she'll get cut from the Hardee's/Carl's Junior ads?

Lol...... Rhonda was the rage until she got knocked out. Goodness she needed that badly. Her ego has been getting out of control for years now. The first fighter/opponent she's faced who doest have a second job and she loses. Rousey is used to being bigger and stronger than everyone she fights but that wasn't the case this time. Not mention Rousey will be forced to learn how to box or strike this time around. The very best get beaten. We'll see what she does with the loss.

IMO she could be biting off a bit more than she can chew, this being her first fight back -- Amanda Nunes is supposed to be all the shit --

still a big Ronda fan & hoping she wins tomorrow nite -- she deserves credit for giving it this shot -- a determined athlete first -- she did get too much attention before because of her looks, it's all on her ability now & I think she'll do OK
