Sorry brother. My only advice would be to put on Live at the Fillmore East and crank it to 11. Usually helps me clear my head after a rough day. Hope tomorrow is better for you, and the day after that is even better!

Do the things that are necessary then curse them if you need to. If your contract ended, you can get unemployment, it is not your fault your job ended. You have to apply the next day after your last day of work. Do that, then when the crappy weather comes (and the whole east coast is getting some BIG time Sunday into Monday), kick back and smile, you don't have to risk you life going there.

Beyond that, try to get rest, and eat right. Then think about other things you have wanted to do, but did not have time to do. You have to look for other work, but you have to also balance your life. Spend 50% of your time doing what you enjoy doing, and the other half looking for a replacement job.

It is like a grieving process, disbelief, shock, alienation, anger, sadness, eventually acceptance. DO not let your mind go thru the 'what if nobody hires me', when that comes into your head, push it out. Stay positive, you will do other things because you can and you have to. Right now, kick back and just allow yourself to go thru the natural emotions that happen when these things occur.

That's too bad.

Go to Clay Pelland's thread in the AG about Skip Littlewood.

Your day won't look quite so bad.

Your job isn't you, it doesn't define who you are, you are just there for one thing, to do some work and get some money to pay the bills. I feel sorry for the people I work with, they have accepted that place in their lives. People who should retire are still there, WHY? Take the monthly check move and live your life. The young ones it's even worse, why have they settled for this? Didn't they ever have any dreams? Why did they give up and settle and become part of the miserable masses who accept the slavitude and die little by little existence they are now trapped in because of the economy.

Some people are meant to just live in the background being the go along with it people, others have something else inside of them that refuses mediocrity and feels suffocated by it.

You may be miserable, but you're not one of the masses, be thankful that your higher self knows that. Make the job less important, focus on other things. You are just there to perform some work and get paid. That's all a sh***tty job can deliver. Once your expectations of what you can receive from there change, it won't bother you as much.

Also realize, they may be doing the best they can, they may be idiots and that is the best they can do. So don't get angry over them.

What problem(s) are you having? I can tell you that stress can cause havoc with your digestive functioning. Caffeine will make matters worse, and foods are often culprits. The high fructose corn syrup in soda, and many foods aggravates many conditions. Try to drink water or 100% pure juice, also broth (low sodium or no sodium) and honey, honey is a miracle food.

aren't the bleak nightmares we call living our own making as we`ve been wearing rose tinted glasses. when we need to see all with eyes wide open... when may need a bullet proof poet...

I get up at seven, yeah
And I go to work at nine
I got no time for livin'
Yes, I'm workin' all the time

It seems to me
I could live my life
A lot better than I think I am
I guess that's why they call me
They call me the workin' man

They call me the workin' man
I guess that's what I am

I get home at five o'clock
And I take myself out a nice, cold beer
Always seem to be wond'rin'
Why there's nothin' goin' down here

It seems to me
I could live my life
A lot better than I think I am
I guess that's why they call me
They call me the workin' man

They call me the workin' man
I guess that's what I am

Well they call me the workin' man
I guess that's what I am
