The device, which is called Angel Sense, is something that Joshua discovered when watching a YouTube channel called “Fathering Autism,” and eventually brought up to the family’s attorney when figuring out a way to mediate the situation with the school. According to Joshua, they felt it was a good option to make sure that J.J. is receiving the education that he is entitled to. The school, however, has other concerns that have led them to oppose the request.
“The districts main opposition to the device is due to privacy issues,” Joshua says. “They feel there are conversations that may be had around my son by students and staff the ability for us to listen in would infringe on their privacy.”
REMARKS: The teacher beat the child with a stick, but the school district feels the staff and students need their privacy so parents should not be able to hear what is going on. If this was in NY, that district would be sued by now and that teacher brought before the State Licensing Board to have their credentials to teach revoked.
