My love's family lives in North Andover, we were just there for Labor Day.
Her father refused to evacuate, they were the only ones on their street who didn't.
He has dementia/ALZ and his biggest gripe of the whole thing was having to eat a sandwich for dinner.
I enjoy spending time with him when we visit, he refers to me as Jeanne's husband even though we aren't married.
I spend half my time with him answering the same questions over and over.
It was maddening wanting to see updates and all anyone was showing was hurricane coverage.
Jeanne's daughter is an EMT and worked yesterday.
She said it was complete chaos, no one knew what was going on or what might happen next.
In the meantime, her brother's family lives in NC and she has relatives in Myrtle Beach.
Fun times in our house the last few daze.
