This whole ACA / AHCA stumbling, bubbling, fumbling is quite the train wreck. What a bunch of clowns. You repeal the damn thing how many times in Congress during the Obama tenure now when the rubber meets the road they don't know what the hell they are doing.

The more their ineptitude shows I do think the more it could cost them in the next election. Republicans who want something different and are getting nothing will be pissed. Democrats obviously are already motivated to flip seats. And everyone in the middle is going to be like WTF are these people doing.

Trump pretending the Democrats are the problem....as if he even understands the legitimate differences and potential areas of agreement that exist between the two sides. The great deal maker indeed.

so many mixed feelings about this presidency. i do not like trump but i had hoped he would be better. i laugh at what has been going on for the last 9 months and at the same time it is very concerning. i do not know the answer on how to fix the reality we are living in right now. all answers seem bad. even getting rid of trump doesn't seem like it will solve things. while it is funny and interesting to watch, it is also frightening.

I guess we need a President who is neither a Democrat or a Republican. I thought Trump was neither, but outside of some rogue comments here or there, he is just doing what the Republican leadership wants him to (and usually not knowing how to do anything he wants to do in the first place). Any hope of him potentially trying to build bridges to the other side was lost very early on in his Presidency. He insults his opponents without even trying to understand their positions and then wonders why nobody wants to work with him.

I hate this two party system, where in Washington you are either with us or you are with them. They say that independent voters make up the biggest voting block in elections, well who the hell is representing the independents? Bunch of losers in Washington...the whole lot of them. Wish every single one of them could be voted out next cycle. No, what I really wish is we could end this duopoly two party system. If we are going to have political parties then to hell with big tent politics and get a collection of small time grass root parties some seats at the table.

The GOP bungled the ACA rewrite or whatever they want to call it. Done in back room with limited number of GOP Senators, excluding majority of GOP Senators, and excluding all Dem Senators. The few details of the plan were enough to disgust the majority of Americans. Town halls were not favorable to GOP Senators & Congressmen.

Trump showed little knowledge of the plan nor details. Probably not his thing. Only thing that mattered to him was to "win" even though America loses. He sees mostly through triumph or defeat; not what impacts and cost / benefit. When he loses, and he did, then he deflects blame to Dems, as he stated he nor GOP will own this. The guy at the top in essence doesn't own his supposed leadership. He cynically wants ACA to fail, as he continues to label it a "disaster". So the question is this - If ACA is a "disaster", then what do we call a seven year effort by GOP to repeal & replace, and with ownership of the House, Senate, and Prez the GOP could not succeed at this? Doesn't appear that the those 3 factions can govern now that they own everything.

But who cares if nothing gets done? It makes me feel good when Trump demonizes all the minorities that I don't like, which is most important to me when casting my vote.

What if the whole show is designed to get Pence in office? Trump's a liberal compared to Pence.

They constantly voted to repeal under Obama precisely because they knew it wouldn't succeed as Obama would simply veto it and they couldn't override his veto. The last 7 years and 6 months is nothing but optics and red meat for the Republican base. It's sadly only a political game.

If Trump or Ryan or McConnell really gave a damn about this issue they would simply shore up the varied and very serious faults within the Affordable Care Act. Make no mistake, they could, with the help of some if not most Democrats, do a number of things RIGHT NOW to shore up the health care system in the short and long term. The problem is these dimwits have so backed themselves into a corner that anything short of repeal is a loss for the Republicans.

Lastly, let me say that Marco Rubio is to blame for one of the big problems plaguing the ACA. It was he who removed what is most easily explained as the "re-insurance" pot of money that would have been given to insurance companies who opted in to the exchanges with very sick individuals. The media and others on both sides of the aisle should be screaming this fact at the top of their lungs.....And Trump, given he controls the Commissioner of Health and Human Services, the federal entity that could RIGHT NOW WITHOUT CONGRESSIONAL APPROVAL, do several things that could improve the exchanges sits on his a** tweating instead of governing. He's so clueless and simply doesn't care about healthcare beyond the optics. Anyway, end of rant!

We don't need any medical care. Let's just get all the voter records and convert everybody who didn't vote for Trump into Soylent Green.

Who cares what he does. This loser will be gone in 4 years and then some real leaders will go back to focusing on what's best for the country, rather than trying to one up his man crush Obama.

Serious question for Trump supporters - if Obamacare is a failure and a disaster, then what does that make the bill that the Republicans just created? Does it mean that it was worse than Obamacare? If Obamacare is so bad for the country, why are they having such a hard time coming up with a better one? And if its about obstruction from the other side, then how was Obama able to get enough votes for Obamacare when he faced obstruction? I'm seriously asking. Nebish? Jerry? Fujirich?
