As expected, GOP is very unwelcoming:

N.H. GOP on Donald Trump: just ‘a punch line’

Thursday, March 19, 2015
By Chris Cassidy, boston herald

The prospect of a Donald Trump presidential candidacy drew one-liners and head-shaking astonishment from New Hampshire ?Republicans yesterday, as the real-estate-mogul-turned-reality-TV-star hits the Granite State today.

“I am the only one who can make America truly great again!” Trump said in a statement yesterday as he announced the Donald J. Trump Presidential ?Exploratory Committee for 2016.

“I look forward to the day he quits the race, and I hope that he does so in complete disgrace,” said former N.H. GOP Chairman Fergus Cullen. “I don’t want to give him an ounce of serious assessment or credibility as somebody who is a serious person in any way.”

Cullen added that Trump may best be suited to compete in an election at the “country fair” over “who has the best hog whistle” or “who gives the best turkey call,” but not president of the United States.

“I look forward to this little circus ending as soon as possible,” he said.

Trump has considered White House runs before, most famously in 2012. While he polled well at one point, critics dismissed the effort as a publicity stunt to boost ratings for his NBC show “The Apprentice.”

Senior Trump adviser Corey Lewandowski said Trump has hired “the best possible team” in early voting states — Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina — with “a proven track record of winning elections.”

“You don’t hire the best unless you’re serious,” ?Lewandowski said.

Trump plans to meet with local veterans and business leaders today, and attend a house party hosted by state Rep. Stephen Stepanek in Amherst, N.H.

But Granite State GOP operative Patrick Griffin dismissed Trump as “a punch line.”

“Donald Trump is a clown,” Griffin said. “He couldn’t win the primary in New Hampshire if he bought it.”

Former Mitt Romney senior adviser Tom Rath said, “We have a process up here that we take very seriously.

“We understand the obligation that we have that goes along with the opportunity of having the first primary in the ?nation.”

I found this interesting on Wiki:

The Wollman Rink in Central Park, was started in 1980 with an expected 2½-year construction schedule but was nowhere near completion by 1986.

Trump took over the management of the project, at no cost to the city, and completed it in three months for $1.95 million, which was $750,000 less than the remaining budget.

Just imagine what he would do to reform gov agencies

Just imagine - probably privatize your Medicare & cut taxes for those in his income bracket as a start.

______________________________________________________________________

Obama said his ObamaCare law would cut Medicare waste, fraud and abuse by $500 million a year. It has not happened.

Obama said he would “reform” Medicare to stop the gross inefficiency is the system.
Medicare in the year ending 2014 paid out $1.2 billion in fraudulent and improper payments.

Since Obama has been such a miserable failure on Medicare:
What would you do to fix the Medicare fiasco?

Have you ever read a post that you didn't respond to in some way, shape, or form?

Since you have "mule" in you name, looking forward at some point to seeing some knowledge presented by you on Warren's band, but I won't hold my breath waiting.

________________________________________________________________________

Why would anyone post in The Whipping Post about an artist or band?
You are unaware of all the other forum/topics that exist exactly for that purpose?

Are you just confused?

Obviously the original statement flew over your head. The point was that for someone who has used "mule" in his user name, I don't recall seeing any of your posts on this site (including music forum) discussing Gov't Mule. If you're a regular posting about Gov't Mule, I guess I've missed your multitude of posts.

This site is not the only band site on the planet.
Mules hang out on the eMule list, much like so many ABB fans do on their respective list group. Just one of the reasons why traffic on this site has slowed to a crawl.

You knowledge of Government Mule is unrivaled. It's right up there with your knowledge of Government.

_________________________________________________________________________

I've known Warren and Matt for over 26 years and there is nothing about Gov't Mule i don't know.

Nice try to minimize me but you have failed again.
You must be suffering from Obama syndrome.

Somehow I find that hard to believe. Next you'll tell us us you jam with them on a regular basis. I don't think there are many people on this site that believe you are credible.

You got it exactly right with your own words "I don't think".

I've met Warren a couple of times. One thing I am sure of is that he doesn't suffer fools gladly. So, I doubt you ever did more than shake his hand after a show.

Some would believe that a handshake = knowing someone = pals forever (at least the last 26 years).

I think it's even weird to say you "met" someone when all you did was line up to shake their hand or mooch an autograph.

mooch an autograph = BFF Grin

I don't know how you can no everything about Gov't Mule and not realize the lyrics of many of their songs express views opposite those of Muleman1994.

Muleman I think you are a disco loving fraud.

Since when did someone’s music tastes have anything to do with their political beliefs?

If you want to make that leap, some members of The ABB supported Jimmy Carter is he turned out to be the second biggest failure in modern times.
Obama of course is the absolute worst.

I'd bet both of you idiots voted for both.

Where does one start with another poorly written post by mule?

The ABB (entire band) did benefits to raise money for the Carter campaign. If you say, "some members of The ABB supported Jimmy Carter", then please tell us who the dissenters were.

Your stated, "Jimmy Carter is he turned out to be the second biggest failure in modern times." Your opinion is noted. We could just as easily state, "George Bush is he turned out to be the second biggest failure in modern times." Note that for consistency, I even used mule language.

Zogby says Trump won’t run; Al Gore hasn’t a chance either:

John Zogby: No Way Donald Trump or Al Gore Will Run in 2016
Friday, 20 Mar 2015 06:56 PM - By Bill Hoffmann

Donald Trump would bomb if he ran as a Republican in the presidential primaries, veteran pollster John Zogby, CEO of Zogby Analytics. Zogby says it's doubtful the billionaire developer and star of NBC's "The Apprentice," who is setting up an exploratory committee to study a possible run in 2016, will actually declare.

"He sees it as a way of raising issues, getting the limelight, but … he will be scrutinized in ways that he's never been scrutinized, or that, frankly, he doesn’t want to be scrutinized. I for one just don't take this seriously at all," Zogby said Friday on "The Steve Malzberg Show."

Zogby also said a presidential run requires lots of local schmoozing and humble behavior.
"It's one-on-one, it's coffee, it's the VFW hall, it's answering every issue that people have on their minds, and it's humbling," Zogby said.

"Frankly, I don't know if 'humbling' and the word 'Donald Trump' can go in the same sentence."

Zogby is just as skeptical about former Vice President Al Gore, who is thought to be mulling a run as a Democrat after news that he'll attend a climate-change forum in Iowa this May.

"I don't take it seriously. He, too, is enjoying being a very, very wealthy man and being, frankly, above the day-to-day rigors of politics," Zogby said.

"At least he has going for him years of public service, vice presidency. He has stayed with an issue, and he came close to becoming president of the United States.

"So, I would put more stock in an Al Gore candidacy than I would in a Donald Trump, but not too much in either."

There was no personal attack. I just pointed out the obvious.

I do find it comical that you've called out people on this site for spelling. I just gave you a dose of your own medicine.

Are there no clarifications on the Jimmy Carter points you stated or misstated?
