Good Lord. This kind of crap is why people are angry.

DeVos doesn't know anything about public education, has insulted teachers, and now claims that historically black colleges are "pioneers of school choice". Never mind what you think about "School Choice", it's not even in the same neighborhood as the purpose of schools like Grambling. She thinks that schools founded because segregation wouldn't admit people based on the color of their skin, is a great example of parents today getting tax credits or vouchers so they can "choose" to send their kids outside of their designated public school district.

Interesting interpretation of "school choice" - when there was no other choice due to de facto and de jure segregation. I guess she missed that whole George Wallace - National Guard flap - maybe she was looking for pencils. Maybe those little scuffles at Ole Miss in 1962 were just…you know…misinterpreted. Maybe the rioters were worried about grizzly bears.
