Sharia law is flawed in some of its concepts and how it is applied. There were discussions with some of the Pakistanis who were beating this woman in NWZ because they said that she was commiting fornication, locals had seen her come out of a house that was not her own, so the punishment was quickly applied. According to Sharia law, there must be 4 witnesss and they had to witness penetration and no one witnessed that, so how could they apply flogging to her, and the answer was 'well everybody knew she was a loose woman, this is not the first time they have seen this (her coming out of his house)'.
There is a recent incident in Indonesia where two young boys were having sex in a rented room. Locals broke in the room, videotaped them and then they were taken to court. Caning with 85 lashes was ordered. The court does not address the fact that those who gathered the evidence broke to law to get it. Yet they believe they are applying the law correctly. In addition to that is the fact that they are not believers at the time when they are commiting an offense against Islam or Sharia law - so should they be subjected to those laws under those circumstances? It is almost like when a person is out of their mind and kills someone when they find their wife with another man. For any "impeachment" hearings to even begin there has to be a crime committed.
