Democrats only message: Socialism

You can do better. Tell me why you deserve to be elected other than bashing Trump.

empathy
and its not about doing better than opposition
we need to get back to a world where we work together and debate and respect ideas

This from the gut who spent the last 8 years bashing Obama and Clinton. Get real, Goob. You have a typical Republican memory.

If socialism was the Democrats only message, Bernie Sanders would be president right now.

A good place to start would be College campuses where "safe zones" are provided for students who can not accept different and opposing viewpoints......please.

This thread shows the ugliness of American society. The thread title alone shows a complete lack of understanding of our 2 political parties. The bigger problem is that the lack of understanding is intentional - there's no desire to understand, and therefore no effort to understand. Instead, some take the easy way out and bash, rather than try to understand. This is where conflict begins, sides are formed, countries are divided, and gridlock and civil war among parties ensue.
Instead of bashing the college kids and labeling them as the problem, one might try to learn what causes them to act that way. And if the weak liberal "kids" are the problem, isn't that the parents fault? Solid parenting doesn't allow that to happen. So is it the weak liberal kids or poor parenting? It's probably a little of both, which is why we can't go around blaming only one side. To do that is a disservice to all of us.

Well, the real humor here is the inference that he'd vote for a Democrat to begin with.

There's plenty of different and opposing viewpoints everywhere. Perhaps the bigger issue is how over-generalized and over-simplified those views have become.
I'm back in college. There's still plenty of disagreements that I see around. However, there's a whole heck of a lot more people that don't say one word about...anything.

Please. College is an institution for the development and exchange of new ideas. And needing a "safe place" certainly gives the appearance of being "weak". Your argument holds little water because we are talking about adults here, not 8th graders or H.S. kids. "What causes them to act that way"?...Gee, immaturity?...lack of accountability for their behavior?....At what age do we stop blaming the Parents for the actions of their children?

Well, really, there's two kinds of safe spaces on campuses. One is safe from harm, one from an ideology to don't want to hear. One good, one bad. Van Jones gave a pretty good speech on it.

"It's going well. The Democratic Party is on the move. We are getting across this country. We are fighting every single day." - Keith Ellison

Ellison After Georgia Loss: Resistance Summer Is ‘Going Awesome’

One day after his party suffered a loss in the Georgia special House election, Democratic National Committee deputy chair Rep. Keith Ellison (D., Minn.) announced that his party's "Resistance Summer" is "going awesome."
Ellison, a rising star in the Democratic Party's progressive wing who narrowly lost a race for DNC chair in February, was speaking to a DNC Live event on Wednesday night.
His comments came the day after Democrat Jon Ossoff lost to Republican Karen Handel in the special House election in Georgia's sixth congressional district. The outcome left Democrats zero for four in special congressional elections since November, in spite of $35 million in spending.
"First of all, ‘resistance summer' is going awesome," Ellison said in an interview with Neera Tanden, head of the Center for American Progress. "It's going well. The Democratic Party is on the move. We are getting across this country. We are fighting every single day."
Earlier on Wednesday, Ellison reiterated his support for House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) after Tuesday's loss. Some of Ellison and Pelosi's House colleagues have expressed their view that with yet another special election loss, it is time for a change in party leadership.

Real journalism would have questioned Ellison's assessment - but that would mean some angry phone calls from the DNC about toning down the truth.

The normal Democrats are seriously pissed at Pelosi, Perez, The Clintons and even Chuckie.
Many Democrats in The House want Pelosi to be replaced as minority leader.
Before the Democrats can even begin to put together a position on anything they need new leadership. The standing for nothing thing ain't working.
Don't hold you breath.
The elites that wholly control that party rule their members with an iron fist.

GA06 has been a GOP stronghold for years. It isn't surprising they held onto it. What is surprising was that it was closer than any election in that district for a long time. You can figure out why that was on your own.

The big deal is that the Democrats, Fake News (formally known as CNN) and all the left-wing mouthpieces claimed that this election would be "a referendum on President Trump", "the beginning of the end of President Trump" and "the beginning of the Democrats taking back The House".
Crash and burn.

No one cares.

What's the Republica message? I think it should be, we blame the liberals and we don't know how to govern.
