Props to the Buckeyes. Tebow said yesterday on one of the football shows that Coach Meyer would get it done. He sure did.

IOWA FREAKIN STATE!!!

Pretty awesome! I play and track alot of ML dogs (underdogs who pull straight up wins). Unfortunately I have not played ISU at all in that capacity, but they are one of the better ones this year. With a $100 bet for them to win straightup you'd a won $4500 vs OU, $180 vs TexTech and $226 vs TCU.

Playoff Committee Rankings come out Tuesday. I'd trust just about everyone's opinion here over them.

I did some yesterday. I don't pretend to know who would beat who on neutral fields in hypothetical games. I rank on resume. When w-l record is the same, head-to-head results will determine ranking. Here is what I got:

1. Georgia 8-0 - best wins at ND 7-1, Miss St 6-3, App St 5-3
2. Alabama 8-0 - best wins Colorado St 6-3, at TA&M 5-3, Fresno St 5-3
3. Notre Dame 7-1 - best wins at Mich St 6-2, NCSt 6-2, USC 6-2, at BC 5-4...loss Georgia 8-0
4. Clemson 7-1 - best wins at VT 7-1, Auburn 6-2, Wake 5-3, at 5-4 LV, 5-4 BC....loss at Syracuse 4-4
5. TCU 7-1 - best wins at OkSt 7-1, at SMU 6-2, WVU 5-3...loss at ISU 6-2
6. Oklahoma 7-1 - best win at Ohio St 7-1
7. Ohio State 7-1 - best wins 7-1 Penn St, 6-2 Army...loss Oklahoma 7-1
8. Iowa State 6-2 - best wins at Oklahoma 7-1, TCU 7-1, Akron 5-4...losses Iowa 4-4, Texas 4-4
9. Wisconsin 8-0 - best win FAU 5-3
10. Miami 7-0 - best wins Toledo 7-1, Georgia Tech 4-3
11. Oklahoma St 7-1 - best win at WVU 5-3...loss TCU 7-1
12. Penn St 7-1 - best wins Michigan 6-2, at Iowa 5-3...loss at Ohio St 7-1
13. Virginia Tech 6-1 - best wins WVU 5-3, BC 5-4....loss Clemson 7-1
14. UCF 7-0 - best wins Memphis 7-1, at Navy 5-2, FIU 5-2
15. Washington 7-1 - best wins Fresno 5-3, Colorado 5-4...loss at Arizona St 4-4
16. Michigan St 6-2 - best wins at Michigan 6-2, Iowa 5-3, Western Mich 5-3...losses Notre Dame 7-1, at NW 4-4
t-17. Auburn 6-2 - best win Mississippi St 6-2...losses at Clemson 7-1, at LSU 6-2
t-17. LSU 6-2 - best win Auburn 6-2...losses Troy 6-2, at Miss St 6-2
t-17. Mississippi St 6-2 - best wins LSU 6-2, UK 6-2, at TA&M 5-3
20. Arizona 6-2 - best wins Wash St 7-2, Colorado 5-4...losses Houston 4-4, Utah 4-4
21. Washington State 7-2 - best wins USC 6-2, Boise 6-2, at Ore 5-4, 5-4 Colorado...losses at Arz 6-2, at Cal 4-5
22. USC 7-2 - best wins Stanford 6-2, Western Michigan...losses at Wash St 7-2, at Notre Dame 7-1
23. Stanford 6-2 - best win 5-4 Oregon...losses at USC 7-2, at San Diego St 7-2
t24. Kentucky 6-2 - best win at South Carolina 6-2...loses Florida 3-4, at Miss St 6-2
t24. North Carolina St 6-2 - best wins Marshall 6-2, Louisville 5-4...losses SCarolina 6-2, Notre Dame 7-1
t24. South Carolina 6-2 - best win North Carolina St 6-2...loses Kentucky 6-2, TA&M 5-3

I'll stop there. I don't know where to rank Michigan, they have zero wins over anybody with a winning record. I'd probably put Memphis and Toledo somewhere ahead of them.

There are some difficult decisions in there when trying to value quality wins vs quality losses and bad losses.

Penn State and Ohio State sure didn't help matters for the B1G this past weekend.

Hey look! Oklahoma just scored again! Grin

Lots and lots of big games today!

Just personal feelings but it's hard for me to root for either Notre Dame or Miami.

Still the best sign I've seen at a college football game, from a Fla State fan:

You can't spell SCUM without UM

Go Bruins! Beat SC!

That being said, bet on SC running the ball down our crappy run defense. Josh needs to have the game of his life.

I miss Rivalry Saturday. About 90% of the big ones were always the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, tv money ruined it.

Yeah, they promoted that big time.

Curious, why do you think TV money ruined it? I would have thought it to be the other way around.

They also used to play ten regular season games as opposed to 12 now.

And we used to have The Big Ten & The Big Eight. And The Rose Bowl actually meant something.

Times change I guess.

ULM and ILL?

I had ULM. Also had San Jose +32

30+ dogs are actually covering at a good clip this year. Not sure if that includes IAA teams, all the IAA teams got crushed today.

Bet five games yesterday and won four of them. 😉

The only one I lost was Purdue /Iowa.

How on God's green earth does Purdue go into Iowa and win? And Iowa destroyed Ohio St. there a few weeks ago.

Yes, those two and then Penn State's second stringers couldn't hold the cover in my big game.

5 games...3 games... man that is just not enough action for me. Think yesterday was a season high for me, 42 games! More games = more fun the way I see it. 23-19.

Bruins pulled the trigger and fired CJM. While I agreed it was time for a change, I didn't see that one coming this season. I just wonder where the AD got the nearly $12 mill to pay his buyout.

Maybe the loss to USC sealed that deal?

UCLA's game vs USC was one of their best efforts of the season. Mora was gone before that loss. The huge buyout was the only think keeping him there. Somebody must've stepped up to pay that buyout because athletic coffers there do not have that kind of money available. Speculation was that they needed to make that move now to not lose out on a key candidate before somebody else beats them to it (Chip Kelly).

Some pretty good games this weekend.

Tonight's Ole Miss/Miss State game is usually good even if State is a big favorite.

I wonder if Miami might struggle a bit at Pitt.

Who would have thought the Florida / FSU game would have two teams with losing records?

My Michigan Wolverines getting 12 points at home against Ohio State? That's a lot to give on the road in a rivalry game.

I hope Auburn beats Saban. Can't stand that guy.

The Apple Barrel is always fun.

And maybe Clemson might have a struggle at South Carolina.

Should be fun!!!

"And maybe Clemson might have a struggle at South Carolina."

You never know what you'll get in this game. Clemson leads all time series by a 26 game margin. The chickens are always preseason champions. This is their super bowl.

I hope the game is like last year 56-7. Go Tigers!!!

Nice to see you drop in! Getting ready for the Iron Bowl I'm sure.

Atleast Urban Meyer wins, Harbaugh's next big win at Michigan will be his first.

On this day, two days after Thanksgiving, I am thankful for the end of a very forgettable University of Tennessee football season. It would be nice not to drop one to Vanderbilt. UT hasn't lost to Kentucky AND Vandy in the same year since 1964, and UT has never lost 8 in a season, and has never been winless in the SEC since it was formed. Even Derek Dooley didn't leave such a mess.

Good riddance.
