Penn State IOWA was one for the ages. Amazing game!!! Penn State RB is incredible. Iowa D were beasts. Amazing ending.

I don' know what happened to the Ducks but I am thinking injuries are catching up on a not to deep lineup. Going 1 for 9 on third down never helps.

DUCKS!!!

Hey Scott,

i am still Gator fan but dont see many games anymore. Anyhow i got my Masters at Rutgers so just laughed at your email about their football team. LOL

As for Army i like them because of my nephew and its a great venue to watch a game. Anyhow was amazed that Jets won a game yesterday and of course are on their way to messing up this season by winning!!!!

Good you get the PAC 12 Network up there! Probably hurts not having leading receiver Charles Nelson out with injury from week 3 and last year's #1 receiver Carrington is now playing for Utah. Ducks battled back after trailing the entire game to take the lead late 4th, but couldn't hold on. I fell asleep in the 3rd qrt I think. I have a way to watch PAC 12 Network finally!!

Glad to see you still swing by here. I'll have to get your email address sometime.

Been looking forward to this Friday night of football all week! 4 interesting games Miama at Duke, Nebraska at Illinois, BYU at Utah St and USC at Washington State...even BYU at Utah St, teams having rough years, but the in-state rivalry factor makes it must watch for me, well I try and watch every game anyway.

SANG! The yahoo pick'em thing appears like your picks aren't saved! It shows a dash under after everyone's names in the group picks, but you only have a dash for the Miami-Duke game. So you may want to check that out.

Thanks - I played golf and didn't get home until late - but I did get my picks in - but I did miss the NASCAR deadline - you may have your chance..... 😛

Hey Scott, any idea why the Pick 'Em numbers are off? Does it take Yahoo a while to update on the late night games?

Showing one number under the group picks rundown (which is right) and the Weekly Performance numbers don't match. Seems like the WP numbers didn't factor in those late games.

Also very curious on the spreads for the games. I had one move 3 1/2 points Saturday morning with the local sports accountant and the Yahoo number didn't budge. 3 1/2 points is a fairly significant shift, hard to believe Yahoo's didn't move at least some.

How about Troy yesterday? 10:1 upset win in Death Valley. Looks like LSU is just about as good as a Sun Belt team now. Got pushed around at both LOS.

Coot,

I know the spreads do not move after is Friday. I used to find it weird too, but they update the spreads throuhout the week and then the final spread to use for the picks gets set Friday and never changes after that.

Let me look at the other question you had, but not sure I follow. You say "number" you mean a ranking, w/l count or point spread? Send me a pm and I will see what is going on.

Little big of a let down compared to last Friday's games.

How about NCSt 3-0 in the ACC...trouble for Clemson down the road?

Had the 'Pack against Lousyville. Smile

They're solid. Against Clemson, probably can't beat the Tigers. With the number? Well, that's maybe another matter. Cool

Some interesting games this weekend as there always are.

I like Vandy and the points. I think they can keep it close. Plus they are at home.

Michigan is going to knock the snot out of Michigan State. Sorry for that kid QB but the backup is better IMO.

I hate betting against Florida State because I like them but I think Miami has their number.

Finally, I might go to the Northwestern/Penn State game tomorrow. If I can get over two touchdowns and I am there, what the heck, I'll take the points.

Make sure you bet against everything I said.

See, that's your problem Dan. They aren't called Big Blue. Never have been. Maybe you meant to bet on Kentucky. 😉

My blood pressure went to 167/101. I never expected Clemson to lose like that

Shows you what happens when you lose your starting QB. Clemson's defense seemed like it was playing on its back heels too.

Of course WSU does its usual "Coug It" and stinks it up against kal...

Bruins at Arizona tonight. I'd rather they were playing the Cats at home. Game of the day will be AU at LSU. This will be very physical.

Yeah last night was surprising although I did like Syracuse and the points.

Not a ton of great games today in my opinion. Probably watch the early baseball game before I go see Mule tonight.

Gotta watch my Wolverines beat up on Indiana in the early round.

I like getting the games on at 11:00 AM. Smile

That was supposed to be a $50 to win 600 ticket. My son is in Las Vegas, asked him if he had an extra 50 for the ML. That is what I got.

Bryant's ankle injury certainly aided Cuse D as did his injury before halftime. But Cuse led 17-14 at time of his injury. Syracuse scored first drive of game, nobody had done that this year. Syracuse scored 27 pts on them, nobody had done that this year.

Nobody on the schedule yet had the QB+receivers+coaching plan that Syracuse had. Lamar Jackson doesn't have the weapons. Josh Jackson doesn't have the experience. People has suspected that the Clemson secondary was vulnerable, but this was the first team equipped to exploit it. Clemson's DL and pass rush is elite, but if they don't get home on the QB you can move the ball through the air on Tiger D. That and Syracuse D is improved this year. Allowing 14pts less this year and about 150 yards less compared to 2016. The 2016 D was so bad they had alot of ground to make up, but are improved.

I'm thinking Arizona State ML tonight as well.

Really like Purdue this year, love Brohm, love DC Holt. Really like watching them play football this year. My pride is still a little hurt from last week's UW-Husker game. Historically Purdue turns it over a bunch in games like this. In fact last week they turned it over 4x in the first half! But Min could only manage a 14-7 HT lead. Good teams won't let them get away with that. But if Boilers can play a clean game might be interesting.

Gotta watch my Wolverines beat up on Indiana in the early round.

Michigan should just put their defense on the field for both O and D. Not sure how I see Michigan scoring many.

Indiana D is really pretty good. If you watched any of the PSU game and didn't just see the score, you'd see what I mean. They can get after you, problem is their O puts them in bad situations too often. I dno't like the Hoosier move to Ramsey at QB. Most people seem to think it is a good idea. Lagow was kind of boom or bust, but I think his arm talent is a better way to attack Mich D. Ramsey is young, doesn't have the accuracy or experience to beat Michigan. He is mobile and that is what IU coaches are going for. They have no traditional run game and are trying to get it out of the QB. Remember 2 years ago IU ran for 300y on Michigan? That was a hell of a game. Indiana's rise to fringe upset / bowl team is because their D and that run O. The running game is gone. Once the good players on D leave after this year IU is going to sink back to the bottom of the league, especially if Brohm sticks around in West Lafayette.

Probably would lean under today in that one right? I don't play many totals, am pretty selective there, but that would appear to be the best way to play the game.
