Stay safe hurricane zone people and know the Trump Adminstration will not leave you high and dry

😛 Yeah, ask a Puerto Rican.

Yes, do ask the Puerto Rican people why:

- Their Island’s power grid failed
o PR’s power grid did not fail due to the hurricane. It had been failing for many years
- Their government did not resolve the trucker’s strike
o The relief supplies could not be delivered because they could not be secured
o Those same supplies could not be delivered because their truck drivers refused to work, and PR’s government would not detail National Guardsmen to drive the trucks.
- The relief supplies could not be delivered until the storm passed. Once the supplies were on the docks they sat there for weeks and then they were stolen by the local politicians and residents.
- Their government failed to submit their Response Plan as required by law
o Why had PR’s government not come into compliance with the National Response Framework year after year
- Why did PR’s emergency management representatives not show up for the National Hurricane Conference in 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015?
o Reason: They replied that they would if someone else paid for their transportation, accommodations, meals and incidentals.
o In 2014 Obama gave them the funding to attend the NHC. Their representatives did arrive in New Orleans but never showed up at the conference.

Puerto Rico’s politicians wanted the American Tax Payers to build them a new power grid.

President Trump, through DHS, did offer the relief funding PR requested but due to PR’s history of corruption, required an independent accountability audit. Once PR received the reply with the accountability requirement they were never heard from again except when their politicians went running to the TV cameras to complain.

Two Puerto Rican politicians and two mayors were arrested this year for corruption.

Puerto Rico’s problems are self-inflicted. Their incompetence and corruption are their problem.

Disaster mitigation, response and relief are a States (territory) responsibility. The Federal Government’s responsibility is to support the State which is exactly what President Trump’s administration did very well.

Do ask the Puerto Rican people why they continue to elect Democrat-Socialists that have failed them year after year after year.

Hmmm, why do Americans keep electing Republicans who fail them year after year? The red states remain the poorest in the country. We just had two Republican congressmen arrested for corruption this month. Trump's response to Puerto Rico is one of his greatest failures and he is lucky that the US media failed to report the extent of it. That is Trump's brilliance. He says something stupid and the media report that instead of reporting on his constant failures. He is truly the master distractor.

It's heartwarming to see that someone would take that much time to actually type out how much he thinks Puerto Ricans got what they deserved in the form of a hurricane.

Oh well. Conservatives. Love America, hate Americans.

Your ignorance of the problems in the Puerto Rico response demonstrates that the corrupt liberal media owns you.

Its all good. You are the perfect example of why President Trump continues to accomplish so much while the far-left extremists simply comment.

Every bit of what I posted is factually accurate.

You can add that Puerto Rico had had and has no functioning Emergency Response entity.
It is the Democrat-Socialists that run that Island and they are directly responsible for their failures.

This picture is making the rounds of how incompetent or corrupt (or both) the Puerto Rico leadership was in managing the relief effort. Those are thousands of cases of bottled water being wasted or worse withheld from the needy.

The coastal Carolinas and SE Virginia will be greatly affected with H-Florence coming ashore very late Thursday or early Friday morning. There is a slight northerly turn evident in the trusted EURO Tropical and GFS Tropical models. The variable is that the storm will likely stall and churn late Wednesday.

As of this morning Florence looks like a Cat 3 (111-129 mph) at landfall. The upside is that this hurricane lacks girth.

The people who live in the area that would be most affected know how to prepare for these events and know to get out. The sooner the better is the rule which allows you to choose to go where you want and stay with family, friends or the hotel of your choice.

Otherwise shelters will be available, but you won’t get to choose your roommates or order from the menu.

We secured our house in Duck this weekend and I am just leaving USCG-Oregon Inlet and heading up Route 12 and off the OBX. Traffic right now is tolerable. That will not last long.

Busy times with TS/H Isaac heading directly towards The Caribbean.

I was hoping you'd ride it out, tethered to a palm tree, your maga hat duct taped to your pointed head, all the time yelling that climate change was a liberal hoax.

Maybe next time.

Are you referring to those in charge in PR who participated in the supply mismanagement and reveled in the Trump bashing instead of focusing on the matters at hand?

There are the all too common few that show no empathy for the citizens of Puerto Rico.
The corruption and poor conditions in Puerto Rico I described existed prior to President Trump.

The pic you posted of those water bottles...that’s on federal land.

The water was placed there by...FEMA.

The water was to be managed by...the GSA in PR.

Two federal agencies on federal land...who was running the federal government at the time of that hurricane, anyway?

Once the water, or any other supplies are delivered it is the responsibility of the State/Local relief operation to distribute it to the people.

Of course in PR the truck drivers were on strike and PR refused to let their National Guard to deliver supplies.

Approximately 3,000 people died in PR. Sorry, no way to just brush it off. A well run agency sees things through, and if things are not working downstream then you make it work. The death toll to American citizens in PR is similar to the death toll on 9/11. Why is it that you seem to care about some American lives more than others?

- No one is brushing anything off.
- What should FEMA have done to prevent an act of nature from occurring?

A well-run agency sees things through, and if things are not working downstream then you make it work.
- Obviously, a statement from someone with no professional experience or common sense.
- A well-run agency follows the protocols as established between all the disaster mitigation, response and recovery entities. Puerto Rico failed to meet their responsibilities and do their job.

The death toll to American citizens in PR is similar to the death toll on 9/11.
- A false equivalency.
- The 9/11/2001 Islamic Extremists terror attacks were entirely preventable had Bill Clinton done his job. He was more interested in saving his own a$$ and repeatedly ignored the warnings from his own intelligence services.

If you were at all familiar with the National Response Framework you would know better than to post something so stupid.

The responsibility for disaster response lies with the State. The federal government supports the lead.

The disaster response to hurricane Harvey in Texas and hurricane Irma in Florida were exceptional because both States have superior emergency response plans and executed them in coordination with FEMA and all the other related agencies, NGOs and non-profits.

Puerto Rico failed at every level due to their government’s corruption, and incompetence.

Trump's Tweets today - Seems each day he proves he is more the narcissist than the previous day. It's always about him, him, him. Waiting for him, him, him to troll this site.

https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/trump-3000-people-die-puerto-rico-hurricanes-blames/story?id=57796141

"3000 people did not die in the two hurricanes that hit Puerto Rico. When I left the Island, AFTER the storm had hit, they had anywhere from 6 to 18 deaths. As time went by it did not go up by much. Then, a long time later, they started to report really large numbers, like 3000," he tweeted Thursday.

"This was done by the Democrats in order to make me look as bad as possible when I was successfully raising Billions of Dollars to help rebuild Puerto Rico. If a person died for any reason, like old age, just add them onto the list. Bad politics. I love Puerto Rico!"

ABC News is the corrupt liberal media.

President Trump is exactly right.
Puerto Rico authorities are refusing to release the names of the so-called dead.
Not surprising for a government run by Democrat Socialists.

It would be in your own best interest to get a little deeper than this. You are putting us all to sleep with this tired line that jumped the shark back in 2017.

Team Rubicon, The Cajun Navy, Southern Baptist Convention and many other private organizations are on station.

Now it is just time to wait for the storm to come on through. Immediately afterwards PDA information will be assembled and analyzed with ground reports. Shelter population reports indicate that they can take many more people.

Consumer grade cellular systems are beginning to fail. Thankfully sat-phones/radio will continue to work.

Nearly 70,000 are without power in North Carolina
From CNN's Chris Boyette

There are 68,892 customers are currently without power statewide according to North Carolina Emergency Management.

The top counties affected are Carteret, Craven, New Hanover, Onslow and Pamlico, the agency reported.

I would love to unpack this. Do you think Donald Trump calculated this run for President with Putin to destroy America? Do you think he said I will run for President to build more hotels? Do you think he said I will waste my time and money against A LOCK CANDIDATE to promote some hidden agenda that favors Russia?
