The Dr. is teaming up with a Chinese Dr. and the surgery will take place in China. Ren Xiaoping will assist in the surgery along with 150 nurses and Dr.'s.
The operation is set to take place at a hospital affiliated to Harbin Medical University in Heilongjiang, China. Addressing the 'Frontier Science' conference audience, he said: 'Dr Ren is the only person in the world able to lead this project.'

Someone recently had a face transplant -- according to AP a firefighter tragically had his face completely burned off fighting a fire -- they transplanted onto his head, the face of a person who had died in a hiking accident
ya a head transplant tho -- that's rad -- but they now have knee/hip/face replacement surgery -- so mayb it's not that rad after all...

I had one years ago. It worked out fine.
I know they can connect the structures, but what about the brain? If you get someone else's brain, how would you live YOUR life? You would have no memories of anything from your life, you would have memories from someone else's life and body. Unless of course they erase your memory, but even then, there is some stuff that is so deep it is evolutionary, and brought with you from prior lifetimes which is why you just like certain things and others you do not, it comes from past experiences.
