Very nice interview with Steve Miller by Alan Paul. "Chuck Berry, the King of rock guitar, got all his primary licks from T-Bone." Now exactly what else do you need to know?

Miller had an extreme stroke of luck as a kid. His Father was a pathologist in Dallas and T-Bone Walker was seeing him for his severe ulcers. Miller ended up getting guitar lessons from T-Bone when he was 9 years old.

I own just one T-Bone record, "T-Bone Blues", a compilation. which I bought probably 15 years ago. I remember the first time I played it thinking that Dickey Betts must have taken a LOT of his country swing licks directly from T-Bone.

Sorry folks, I see that Alan Paul already posted this. Oh well, it's great info so now it's posted twice here.
