Why CD only?

I just ordered Jack Pearon Live, and can't wait to hear it. It is only available on CD, and not downloadable. My question is "Why?. With downloaded music being the thing these days (vinyl resurgence not withstanding) why CD only?

That IS curious and shows a surprising lack of awareness of the modern market.
I'll admit that as a consumer, I'm in the opposite camp and am bummed out with any "download only" releases.

From what I understand, artists (often/usually?) make mere pennies on down-loads. You'd probably make more money selling a dozen CDs out of your guitar case at a gig than you would from a hundred downloads.

Same here. I still want the physical product.
