When is Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest? NOW!!!!

38 dogs at the 5 min mark

only 64 dogs for chesnut, far off his record of 73.5 but he still won by 19 dogs.

I look forward to this every yr.

Defending champion Joey "Jaws" Chestnut broke his own world record on Wednesday by eating 74 hot dogs in 10 minutes to claim his 11th Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest title.
The judges originally counted 64 hot dogs for Chestnut, but it was later revealed that an entire plate wasn't counted. Chestnut would have won regardless.

This is gluttony in its truest form and a complete waste of resources.
Events like this disgust me when there are so many people who go hungry.

Gluttony yes
Waste of resources-that's a joke-wasting hot dogs is saving our unhealthy nation from eating
more very unhealthy garbage.

Rusty Staub (RIP) used to own a great restaurant in NYC in the East 70's. Ribs were its specialty. Every year they held a charity rib eating contest. It was usually won by the usuall suspects like Willis Reed. One year Brooke Shields won. Now that was something.

Roughly 15 lbs of hotdogs..not including the buns.

I looked on wikipedia, Joey Chestnut is 34 years old. I predict he will die of intestinal cancer by the time he's in his 50's. These hot dog eating contests are the stupidest thing I can think of. Only in America where many of us are gluttons anyway............

Bingo, Rob.
And don't they consider this a sporting event? How can anyone think of this as athletes in action?
