Warren Haynes, October 1 @ The Capitol Theatre

Warren provided a thoroughly enjoyable 4 and a half hours of entertainment to a less than capacity, but highly enthusiastic, crowd at the Cap last night. All of the musicians really enjoyed the energy provided at the Capitol Theatre, with many commenting directly about it and the rich history of the acts that have played there over the years.
Opening with Blue Shy was a tone setter and really got the place hopping. A great mix of Allmans, some new stuff and great covers over Warren's 150 minute set. He really draws the best out of his surrounding musicians and simultaneously lifts the collective output of the ensemble. The violin player from ChessBoxer was a case in point. He was outstanding and brought a huge smile to Warren's face every time he got going.
The range Warren operates in is really impressive and this show was really able to feature that. Well done and well worth the cost of admission and the effort to make it out on a rainy, cool 'school night' .....

I am sure you meant 2 1/2 hours of music unless they dragged the songs out to 25 minutes each???

Well the post clearly says Warren's set was 150 minutes so obviously the op is talking about the amount of entertainment overall.

Sorry for the confusion.
ChessBoxer 8 - 8;30pm
Chris Stapleton 8;45 to 9;30pm
Warren 10pm to 12;25am
Four and a half hours from start to finish....

Wow, what a great set list!!!

Ah, ok. Got it!

Nice, Thanx for the review.
