I wonder if Dweezil will cover "Whipping Post"?

Has ZPZ covered it in the past?

There's a couple tough conflicts on there...at least for me. All in all, I'm stoked for a great few days of music.

I'm not liking the Earth Wind and Fire, ZPZ, Govt Mule conflict - I am really looking forward to ZPZ - not sure if they will do it here, but they are playing One Size Fits All on this tour - one of my favorites.....

Guess I will see a little of EW&F, all of ZPZ, and the end of the Mule set......... Grin

Jaimoe and Rich Robinson is a bit of a problem also.....

Wow, what a lineup indeed. I've been hearing a ton of great things about Cheap Trick, mainly from Howard Stern and Dave Grohl. Both rave about this group. Grohl featured them on that HBO series he did. Has anyone seen Cheap Trick before? If so, what's the good word?

I've seen them many times, being from the Chicago area, although it's been a while. If you like their albums, you'll like them in concert - they always bring it.......... Grin

These were the two conflicts that vexed me as well. As for Cheaptrick, they are still probably the loudest show I've ever seen. Beyond painful.

So... "Beyond painful" is that like when the kids say "that was really sick" and mean a good thing?

Hope to see a lot of you there. Not sure why they didn't put it on the sked, but my appearance will actually be interviewing Jaimoe. We'll both be signing books afterwards.

First major concert we did at Rockers in Houston (30 years ago) after we switched over from Country Western.

Halloween night.

We were fire rated for 850 people.

We sold 1500 tickets.

I poured an entire bottle of Chivas Regal and one bottle of Jack Daniels that night for the fire marshals to "inspect" the club and supervise keeping the stairwells clear.

Great show, don't miss them!
