VH-Panama Controversary

This is kinda trivial,nerdy/music geek stuff, so it might not be for all. It's interesting....
Heard this on the Dave and Dave Unchained podcast. Goto the 45:20 min mark.

Everyone has a plan, till you get punched in the face,

Holy research, Batman. That's great. More interesting is listening to EVH's guitar sound evolve tour to tour. Very buzzsaw-y there in the 2000s/2010s.
I'm gonna go with the speculation that the lyric sheet at 5150 is "foot-tapping" and when recording it they made the change in the studio, perhaps in the moment. After freshly recorded, kept doing it that way on the 1984 tour. When DLR needs to refresh memory a couple years after the 1984 tour, he consulted lyric sheets. Sammy uses lyric sheet because he's not a fan of the 6-pack and doesn't listen to 19854 and go with album version. Same lyric sheet; same "change" in how they both sing the song 1986+.
Cherone is a fan, so he goes with album version.
The real question is how did Mitch Malloy sing it in his audition? But I cannot bring myself to listen to it again on YT.

@zambi I agree. I thought the same thing about the lyric change and how it happened. It got changed on the fly.
Mitch sings "Full Blast Top Down."
Cant make it out on this one to well
