So I came across this https://m.facebook.com/allmanbrothersband/posts/10153692393823917:0 but I can find no record of any Georgetown College show. Apparently it happened in either '70 or '71. Anybody know if there is any truth to this? Maybe an impromptu unscheduled show? The reason I ask is because this is where I live and as far as I know there were no Kentucky shows in then Duane era.

Ha, I noticed that too. Going to drive over to the college today after work and see if they can tell me anything about a show.

The story posted further down on that FB page about all the stiffs in formal gear clearing out after the band started and the long-hairs filling in is priceless!

So.... Here is the reply I got from the college.

Hi Anthony,
I can confirm that the photo’s claim is accurate, though the version you found has been cropped down. It was from the 1971 yearbook (Belle of the Blue) on page 172. The article from the School paper has the basic details of the event, and I hope will answer your questions. There were a good handful of musicians that passed through here during that era who later went on to become very recognizable names.
Best,
Sandy

Now I just need to figure out how to post the two photos she sent me, one is an uncropped version of the picture at the link above, and the other is a copy of the newspaper article from their homecoming week.
It says ," The Allman Brothers of Atlantic, Georgia will present a concert to all Georgetown students and their guests at 8:00, October 16, in the John L. Hill Chapel".
Man, oh, man this recording HAS to be out there somewhere..... So there actually WAS a Duane Kentucky show. Wonder why this was overlooked and never added to any of the tour lists you see online?!?

Cool that new and relatively unknown and unseen things like this still surface.
