Hi,
I'm new to the link that tbomike provided of the Saratoga show. How does that site work? Are all shows on there?
Is that a free site? Do you need to register to download?
Also, I'm not up on the file types. I know Torrent(Bit Torrents?) a little bit, but 24 Bit Flac, OGG VBR and VBR MP3 are strange to me. Can I just download the songs and play, or do I need some kind of conversion app?
Thanks...

You can play that show I linked just by clicking the arrow right above the 1st track. No fuss. You do not have to be a member of anything. To the right of the set list you probably see various options to download if you want to save the shows. I don't bother on that site as frankly I am so overloaded with live music I just don't bother anymore. But I do believe there are tutorials on there for how to if needed. Not all the shows are on there but there is an endless supply of music on archive.

TTB you can see is sorted out by year on the left here and it shows currently there are 501 TTB recording on there.

Absolute scorcher of a show last night in Va. Beach. Here's TTB's setlist to the best of my memory. I think I'm missing a song, and I'm not 100% sure on the order. Any corrections would be welcome, as would any setlist for Hot Tuna and/or Wood Brothers, both of whom were fantastic.

7/12/17 - Veterans United Home Loans Amp., Virginia Beach, VA

I Want More
Anyhow
The Sky Is Crying (w/ Hot Tuna)
Anyday
Sweet Virginia (w/ Wood Bros.)
I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel to Be Free
Let Me Get By
The Storm

Encore:
I Pity the Fool
Will the Circle Be Unbroken >
Bound for Glory

How does the band play I Wish I Knew How . . .?

Is it similar to the DTB studio version, or more similar to the DTB Georgia Theater version? Or something entirely different?

Closer to the GA Theatre version but bigger, fuller, brighter, with more joy. Mike and and Susan trade off verses. Alecia and Mark do a beautiful back and forth later in the song that gave me goosebumps when I saw it. Granted, this was back in January (the St. Louis show after Butch passed) so they may be doing it differently now.

Great description of how it sounded last night.

It's So Heavy is the song I missed. I think it was somewhere in the middle of the set, so that's where I've placed it. Again, any help would be appreciated? Is there a TTB forum anywhere? Or somewhere besides setlists.com that people post setlists and reviews?

People post reviews here sometimes in each recording's comment section:

I Pity the Fool was definitely moved to the first song of the encore. I seem to remember the sit-ins being earlier in the set, but I could be wrong.

Hopefully, a nice recording of the show will surface, but I did not see any tapers. Doesn't mean there weren't any, though.

they have been known to veer from the pre typed list...

re I wish I knew - this tour they have done an intro with an "exploratory" type jam, there are a few versions on the archive.

Have to say, seen a lot of gigs in my life....TTB is giving me that old ABB groove I've been missing for a long time.
Was at SPAC and will be at the Beacon in the Fall. Can't wait.

I went last night in Indianapolis. The three-band concert is not great for a weeknight show starting at 7:00 pm and ending around 11:00 pm. Hot Tuna was over in 45 minutes. Wood Bros. were on for about an hour. TTB was 90 minutes at best. I thought the same thing last year with North Mississippi All-Stars, Los Lobos, and TTB.

ALL of the music was great... there just wasn't enough of it. They should do it more like a festival show that starts at 4:00 in the afternoon or something. Either that or only have one opener. It just feels like the bands are just getting started when their sets are over.

I know I shouldn't be complaining, because it is probably one of the best two or three shows that will come through Indianapolis this year. (Hot Tuna has only played in Indianapolis four times in the last 20 years and never as a headliner / ABB never played here after 2006.) Most of the people going to these shows have decent attention spans, or they wouldn't be there. They should at least have each band play for 90 minutes.

Anyway, Hot Tuna was awesome last night (I think Jorma is 76 years old). Wood Bros. were excellent as well, first time I had seen them live.

TTB set was really good, the worst part was Kofi's absence. They had a good mix of originals and covers. On a lot of their own stuff they have a killer "Live James Brown Orchestra" thing going, and that is super fun to watch happen right in front of you.

Covers included: Keep On Growing, The Sky Is Cryin' (w/ Tuna), Sweet Virginia (w/ Wood Bros.), Soul Sacrifice, and Statesboro as the encore. I might be missing another one also.

The show is great... everyone should go see them. I just wish the sets were longer. Not bad if this is my biggest complaint, I guess.

Was at SPAC too. What a show! Haven't been to an outdoor show in 20 plus years. I'm a Big Hot Fucking Tuna fan, set was good, but Wood Bros was a pleasant surprise. Saw Derek early on with his "new age band", then with Clapton as a guest player along with Doyle Bramhall, then with Warren and ABB, now in TTB. Rolling Stone mag better re-adjust their "top 100 Guitarist Of All Time" list...pretty soon! I agree with Stormy rider that Carey Frank did a nice job, Derek asked him to tear it up a couple times and he did, nicely. Kofi has been with Derek since DTB first started...GET WELL SOON KOFI! As far as Susan goes ( don't tell Derek this but...), she tore up a couple solos on the Les Paul...thats pretty freaking HOT! LOL. The trip to SPAC was a success. The old college buddy of mine I turned onto to Gov't Mule and now TTB(at SPAC with me) bought tickets to one of the Beacon shows coming up, the night we got back from SPAC. So now looking forward to some Freak'n At The Beacon!!

Slight correction, Kofi joined when Bill McCay was still on keys and then Bill left shorty after. First show I caught was in Mobile in '98, Derek, Yonrico, Todd, Bill. Mostly instrumental and so sweet.

First Album lineup.

Cool. I thought the GA Theatre version lacked a lot of the life that was in the albmum version.

But I also thought that version would better fit this band, so was curious.

Glad they rearranged it a bit it seems, can't wait to listen to it.

In Atlanta we got 45 minutes of Hot Tuna, 50 minutes of Wood Brothers and then 2 hrs 10 minutes of TTB (came at 9:51 and finished final song after midnight). Indoor and Saturday night show helped!

It was a great great night of music and brought me to 12 for 12 hearing Midnight in Harlem (I'm not complaining).

Still, if I ever write songs as good as Part of Me and Don't Drift Away, I'll want to play them for the world as often as I can. That the TTB don't play for the former and rarely the latter any longer is really puzzling.

I'll be back for more though!

Thanks for the slight correction aiq. I was going from memory, and it must have been in 1999 when I first saw DTB in Poughkeepsie at the Chance Theater Grin

Finally caught the tour last night. Great night of music. It was my first time seeing Hot Tuna and The Wood Brothers and both put on good sets of music. Was cool when the TTB horn section sat in with The Wood Brothers. TTB put on a good show and againg proved why the are in the top 5 of bands on the road right now. I paid $35 for my ticket and that felt like a steal.

Made Up My Mind
Anyhow
Don't Know What It Means (Kebbi took this into free jazz territory and it got "spacey" before heading into the next song)
Keep On Growing
Don't Drift Away
3/5 of a Mile in 10 Seconds (With Hot Tuna and it was good.)
Part of Me
Chevrolet
I Pitty The Fool (Susan took us to church on this one)
Let Me Roll It (With Wood Brothers. Chris Wood played they type of bass Sir Paul does on this song)
Midnight in Harlem (One of my favorites. They had a Moon onstage and it set as the song ended)
The Storm/Whipping Post (Great way to end the set. It still surprised me when Derek went into Whipping Post during his solo)
Encore
Will The Circle Be Unbroken
Bound For Glory (Are they trying to say something by pairing these songs together?)
