I try and do my best when it comes to made in USA products.
We need some wall/ceiling mounted speakers and Triad seems to be the only company that makes this kind of speaker in the US (not their 6" round ones - those are imported).
Anyone have any experience with their speakers, or know of other USA speakers I might want to look into?
When building out our unfinished basement in 2005, our A/V guy spec'd ceiling mounted Triads to create the theatre effect for our plasma TV. I don't know the name or model #, but the actual speakers inside are angled at ~45 degrees so the sound is directed at you while seated in front of the TV, yet the grills remain flush with the finished ceiling.
I thought they sounded terrific and still do. But it was a classic case of scarcity mindset when I was told that these were the "bronze" level speakers and so of course I quickly inquired about upgrading to "Silver" or even perhaps "Gold"!
For the sake of my wallet, I'm glad I didn't do that --- but I do wonder sometimes what the difference in sound quality could've been
