Torrent downloading question

I like to download music from Dime and Etree but despite all my enthusiasm, I still lack certain technical expertise. That's why I'll ask my question here. To the knowledgeable and friendly people of the HTW.

I just downloaded a show from Dime and used my software to change the FLAC files to WAV...

Now I'd like to send, via email, the WAV files to a friend's computer so he can burn the show to CDR on his own computer. This is the part I have a question about. Can you email WAV files like this? My computer isn't letting me do it because they are too big. Perhaps there's another way to do this? Or not?

Any downloading experts who could help me with some advice. Thanks!

The flac files you downloaded are much smaller and have al the data that the WAV files have. Even so, they still may be too big to email. Many burning programs will write WAV directly from flac.

The first question is why you cannot burn the CD's you want on your own.

If even the flac files are too large, you can copy everything to a flash drive and mail it.

The best solution is to zip the files and share them via Dropbox, Wetransfer or other means.

You can download free zip software from http://www.7-zip.org/

Why not just email the torrent link to your friend and let them download, then burn it.

Email can only do 20-30mb. For big files try MEGA . Slower than Dropbox but easier. 50 GB free. Works like email upload your show. WAV or FLAC whatever. Friend has MEGA account too. Give share permission then they download show from your account. Slow but faster than torrent. And it's free. www.mega.co.nz

Or burn him a CD and mail it to him. Cost ya a little over 2 bucks.

Thanks for y'alls advice and help! Smile

Simply, I want to share a show(*) with a friend of mine..... I'm sure I can just make him CDRs, but I also want to see what today's online technology can do. Therefore, I decided to look into SENDING him the WAV files which I downloaded from the Dime.

(*) The show is Bruce Springsteen 10/29/74 Boston Music Hall, which is a great audience recording.

Barry; thanks for admitting your lack of knowledge and let me add mine, too, with a question I hope is not too dumb! What software do folks use to burn their files to a CD? I bought a software package years ago from which I could easily move my files to be burned after I converted them.
( called Express burn.) Now they say my license expired and I have to buy it again from them for $40 or $80. There must be a free software out there I can use to burn my files to a cd. any suggestion?

thank you>
