I remember coming across this site when it first started maybe around 2002 or 2003, I was 12 or 13 years old, I wish I would have joined a lot sooner. Unfortunately it seems like I have missed the glory years, though it has been cool talking with many of you. Just now getting my wife into the Brothers as well, she really enjoys some of Warren's solo stuff as well as Mule and she is always down for a Susan and Derek show. Unfortunately I still find Bieber frequenting her stereo when I drive her car......

....kinda sad. I really like this site and enjoy coming here, chatting with good people and etc,but things have tapered off with the Brothers calling it a day. This is the only social media I use. I do not facebook,twitter,instagram and etc. I do hit a few other guitar/instrument gear forums here and there but thats about it. I do no belong to any other band/musician forums either.

Likewise. I could have posted almost the same message. I did a handful posts on Dickey's forum and the Mule Army Forum and that's it. No facebook etc. for me either. Activity started to get less many years ago due to facebook etc. and lot's of fine folk leaving due to some assclown throlls but indeed got much worse post oktober 2014 when the ABB called it a day. I still visit HTW daily and it's indeed kinda sad to see so little "going on". Therefor i sometimes hesitate to post anything new ("Who's reading it anyway?") but that way it even get's more quieter on this forum... 🙁

I check in 4-5 times a week. Time moves on but I've always enjoyed it here. I saw Derek & Susan 2 weeks ago in Seattle. It was fantastic. Tons of ABB fans at the gig.

And there's no better gauge than by the number of new threads started about bands that never would've been contemplated during the busier times ( saw my first ever Metallica thread recently ). But even though the band has called it quits, I'm still always impressed with the amount of folks who keep sticking around.

Not sure if that's because folks love coming here or we just don't know where else to go!

It's so slow that i've even been compelled to post a bit more these days. I've been lurking here for 16 years. I was Astro_Joe for a long time but forgot my password so re-signed up in 2009 to post pics of the Allmans/Dead show at the Gorge.

Hey now, ease up on the metalheads - there have been metal threads here all along. . . and some of our coolest members dig themselves some metal . I have seen fan threads of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica here on a regular basis. A quick search turned up metal threads all the way back before 2003. Me, not a huge fan, but will say that when I saw Metallica in 1991 (?) or so, their guitar player busted out the best "Little Wing" I have heard outside of Jimi, and that means better than Stevie Ray.
